Who is deserving of the American dream? The dream that brings tears to the eyes of John Boehner. From his eyes it must contain cigarettes, cocktails, golf and copious dollars. From my eyes things are a little less certain. Some of us must start with work, a shelter and some food. If this seems like a reduction then maybe it is. Yes, the dream ceiling is getting lowered and those on the roof are hopping up and down.
Why would any countryman want to diminish the dream?
No one deserves special consideration. If we are to live by the Republican mantra of self sufficiency then they have cut their own throats. The obvious corruption, dysfunction and misrepresentation of congress, state legislatures and even the supreme court bodes ill not only for dreamers but for those who corrupt the dream. The cake eaters think they have the upper hand but they underestimate the masses. How long can a people be told the same lies? How long will we watch our prospects crumble under greed and avarice when the common good is so attainable?
This ill conceived business of politics has reached an end. We cannot have a legislature allowed to sit without approval or support of the citizenry.
We will have a flawed and failed election once again in 2012. These comic candidates will not serve. In the spring an idea will emerge. The plurality of dissatisfaction will find a voice. The people will not expect special consideration, just a chance. Just like all the brave guys and girls who jumped on a ginned up war on terrorism, those returning and all of us at home now expect better. We won't take this crap anymore.
If you don't mind your p's and q's then Donald Trump might take over.
Seriously, the people are about to take our rightful place.
Enter this New Year excited and with extreme desire.
