With the cool summer nights closely approaching, being in the sweat air for some relaxing viewing is much enjoyed. When I was a child I had once been to a theater with my parents, where we parked the car next to a big speaker and tried to hear the flick over the shanty engineering of tin and mesh metal. The memory is short enough to still remember, and I think back on this night and the nights which were lived many years on. I went on wondering: What happened to the drive in movie?...

It is back now! For the first time in over twenty-five years I went to drive in last week. This time I drove up in a nice new mini-van, with my son. He is only two, yet the experience amazed him. I was bored and off work over the weekend. So I went to an Internet search site to look movies playing after 10 pm. One of the only shows out there was at the West Winds. So, I drove a short distance to see what I could see. Just some quick advice: kids under five that use a car seat to ride along, may not want to sit still in the car to watch a two movie!

The film I saw was the worst movie I ever watched in life. So, I know next time to check for a movie I desire to see first. The film, Observe and Report, was an off-beat comedy. Containing a large amount of profanity in needed situations the goof-ball cast made a modern debut to cynicism and rivaling other hit titles, like Knocked Up of 2007. I sat quietly through out the bad acting and brief male nudity. The best part of the movie is how I heard it, over my own radio. Wow! Innovation at it's strongest, the waves of spaces which can be turned into reasoning practicality and sense. I was more impressed over being able to hear the show clearly than why I had chosen to watch a horror show. Because, I was horrified at the plot and resolution of the script.

This is the American Classic at it's best. Alive, thriving and open nightly, the Las Vegas Drive In is a must recommend from me. The admission prices are low at $6.25 a person, with special rates on car loads. Just go on a goggle search for drive-ins and you'll get a good result. For summer nights out on a date, or with the kids and other family do go for an original experience.
