The New American Idol Revealed

Finally, the contest has come to an end. Kris Allen was announced as the winner of the popular talent show, American Idol. Kris Allen, a 23-year-old shy guy from Arkansas bagged the title as the American Idol with votes of almost a hundred million. This is surely one heck of a surprise for Kris Allen, as he was not expecting those votes. Aside from that, it was Adam Lambert who was expected to be the winner because he was almost always topping the show. Kris Allen, when pronounced as the winner, was very shocked but still remained humble and downhearted.

True enough this could be the possible reason why a lot of viewers voted for this kind and downhearted guy. He showed his true passion in singing and people loved him for that. A lot of people also loved Adam Lambert, who is a twenty seven year old guy from San Diego, for his awesome rock star performances.

The finale of the show is full of celebrity guests and prior to the announcement of the winners; Kris Allen and Adam Lambert sang, "We are the Champions". This is surely a great song to sing because the two are considered to be great performers and a lot of people are enjoying their performances and they can be already considered as champions.

The winning of Kris Allen is considered to be one of the most surprising happenings in American Idol's history because throughout the season, the judges are always amused and favored the performances of Adam Lambert. A lot of people are expecting Adam Lambert to win the show and take home the title because of the judges' comments.

Kris Allen and Adam Lambert are both great performers and they both deserve to win. Adam Lambert did win the hearts of many fans, and that goes the same for Kris Allen.

Kris Allen performs usually with his acoustic guitar and his renditions of songs from Michael Jackson and Bill Withers gained a lot of listeners. After knowing that he was the winner of the reality show, Kris Allen still remained shocked. He confessed that whenever he is performing every week and overcomes the pressure of elimination, he always felt shocked. Now that he's named as the American Idol for 2009, he was totally stunned and still could not believe his fate.

Kris Allen deserved to win the reality show. He did great on stage and people voted for him because of that. Adam Lambert also deserves to be a winner and despite the fact that he didn't bag the title, he kept his optimism by saying that "For me it's not really about what happened tonight, it's about tomorrow".
