The outlook for future generations
Taxes, poverty and unemployment the conclusion
Many years of a countries total abuse
So many issues, too many untruths
A green dollar will have little to no use
Many go hungry from day to day
Down hearted and full of frustration
That this is the American way
A country plagued by high gas prices, war and greed
Helping so many other countries out of the red
In times of unethical activity, catastrophe and need
The bleeding must stop, we must ease the fear
And deal with our own senseless circumstances at hand
Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness must be made clear
Our great President we have nothing but faith in you
But our nation's unanswered future stability
Consistently hovers over the red, white and blue
As other countries deceive, torment and plot
We must stand firmly united with a master plan
As one strong undivided nation under God

Good piece. America is about more than flag waving. A good way to stay involved is to contact your congress representative and U.S. senators on issues that matter. I always do and always receive a reply. I care about my family, my neighbors, and my country. I wish that others did too.
What a great article! Thanks for the inspiration and insight this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Great job Note: My publication notices are still not going out for most of my articles. I want to thank those of you who are taking the time to search out my article, reading them and leaving comments. i appreciate the extra time this is taking you. Hopefully, someday soon this glitch will be fixed.
Reminds me of when Bush said of a woman who worked three jobs, "How uniquely American!" Like it was something we should all aspire to!
What is great for foreigners is not necessarily great for us.
A leader, that borrows from one country to give to another, is putting another country first. That is unamerican.
