Books have been written about German suffering during the war. There is a growing concern in Germany that America is unpredictable. People in Poland say that they love America much more than Americans do. The jobless rate in Poland is about nearly 20%. No churches were ever envisioned in this particular country. The steel mill is still in operation. The Polish feel not only exploited, but, since the fall of communism, also humiliated. Poland is reinventing itself. Downtown Warsaw has become a construction site. MTV in Poland is a big success. Poland strongly supports the United States. This has a lot to do with security. Many Polish people did not side with the United States in waging the Iraq war. America could definitely show more willingness and collectiveness towards its' allies. Poland, today, is not under any threat from anyone and Poland wants to befriend any country.
After the attacks on both the world trade center and the pentagon, France's leading newspaper, Le Monde, printed one particular article in its' pages with the following headline: "We Are All American". The United States has become an imperialist country. There was sympathy and outrage in the U.S. after the attacks on both the world trade center and the pentagon. There are many novels in print today inspired by the September 11, 2001 attacks. One English novel is titled: "Windows On The World". Anti-Americanism in France always had a dose of irrationality. Half of France's movie theaters, by 1939, were American owned. France, today, is the most Americanized culture in Europe. France, like the U.S., is now fascinated with power and luxury. The U.S. is perceived as having displaced France as another world power. Any nation in the world wants to be the most powerful. The U.S. is a very dominating country. Many foreign countries admire (and look up to) the U.S. There are many different ways that one individual can indeed look at the world.
