The Anime Network: Website Review

Matt Remley
Aside from being one of North America's top rated anime television networks at one point in time, The Anime Network branches off into many services that may be somewhat unknown to fans. Today we're going to take a look at The Anime Network's website, to see just what types of services they offer. Let's start off with the fact that users are able to watch anime online, for free.

Most of the anime on both The Anime Network's website, and on the now discontinued television network, aren't available on other television stations. Since the station was at one time North America's top anime television network, it's pretty easy to figure out why they are able to get their hands on a great number of anime films and series. Ever check out the companies On Demand service? If you haven't you should!

Design

Needless to say, the layout and design of The Anime Network's website has been done with great skill. Most of the advertisements you see on the website is just services the company offers, or for the anime they air on television and online. Almost everything is neatly placed and easy on the eyes, and safe for all ages of anime fans.

Features

The main feature of The Anime Network's official website, is to advertise their station and allow fans to watch certain anime online. Users will need to download and install Flash 9 before watching, which is perfectly safe for downloading. Another great thing about the website is the fact that The Anime Network details and lists every anime shown on their network and offers trailers for users to check out.

Mobile users are also able to get in on the action, as The Anime Network has its own Sprint channel, so you're able to watch anime anywhere with your Sprint phone. The Anime Network has its own Aside from those great features; The Anime Network also features a few pretty decent games on their site. Ever wanted to learn simple Japanese language terms? The Anime Network has a small section for that also.

Improvement

The Anime Network is an amazing website that shouldn't be overlooked by anime fans. All of the episodes posted on the website are free, so what's better then that? Overall, The Anime Network gets an eight out of ten, because it's pretty much perfect but could use just a slightly larger selection of anime films and shows rather then the current list.

Final Score

8 Out of 10.(10 Being Perfect, 1 Being Worst.)
