The Apocalypse Predicted by Nostradamus- is 12/21/2012 Armageddon Doomsday?

Is 12/21/2012 Armageddon Dooms Day, Astrology Predictions Eclipse, Mayan Calendar Light Show of Epic Proportions

Kay Balbi
Forget Santa ornaments and nativity scenes, web bot predictions focusing on prophecies for 2009 and beyond predict dooms day, or usually spelled doomsday, with levity, I might add.

Those that might have heard of the Mayan calendar predict spectacular light shows of epic and galactical proportions, (perhaps in anticipation of Christmas) on 12/21/2012. Or I like to think it might be for the party I'm planning for my husband, who will be celebrating his 49th birthday on that day.

If you are a survivalist like me, you might decide to leave those Santa ornaments and nativity scenes boxed in 2012. For those who have been previously offended by people like me who refer to Christmas as Xmas, 2012 might be the week that it will finally be okay to use an X; in fact it seems proper for that year. It should be okay to finally celebrate Xmas gifts, Xmas stockings, Xmas trees when talking about the big doomsday apocalypse. Maybe by the Xbox will have a virtual world for us to watch this event together.

Is it scary stuff? Yes and No. I guess it depends upon what you think, who you talk to and what your point of reference is to why we are even on this earth in the first place. And that's where the topics of religion and politics come in, and the truth be told, if I were polite, as I was raised to be, I wouldn't mention either of them.

But, I'm not any of those things really. I can be if I have to be I suppose, but I would rather just speak my mind. I guess where I am going with this is kind of muddy waters but in my opinion, both religion and politics are designed by man to control or guide people in decisions of both moral and civil obligation.

The ten Commandments to me are no different than the Bill of Rights - they both tell me what I can and cannot do and I'm not fond of either. If you have ever heard George Carlin's spiel on them, you will know exactly where I am coming from. The one commandment I agree with is the "though shall not kill" (subject to time and circumstances), and as Carlin would say, "we kill in god's name and in times of war, so aw, what the hell."

I am a believer of Darwinism, evolution, science and data. I have a hard time believing in something I cannot see. In my life time, I recognize changes occurring in the earth, its species, the color of the light the sun emits. Whether that change is accelerated or exacerbated by human intervention, I am not sure. I am tending to believe not.

I know that I am interested in learning more, but if the truth is that the world is going to end, then maybe, I would prefer to concentrate on building my goldfish water pond sanctuary and setting aside money for voice lessons so that I can sing better in my next life, if there is one.

According to some, the death of one known as "Mabus" will herald some cataclysmic event. "Mabus" then will soon die. There will come of people and beasts a horrible rout: Then suddenly one will see vengeance, Hundred, hand, thirst, hunger when the comet will run. Mabus is sometimes referred to as the anti Christ.

What scientists can prove through geology is that time is cyclical and so is the galaxy's evolution. Not to sound cold, I am minimizing this severely but basically, it is Clap on, Clap off - Milky way out, Aquarius in.

Today due north is not due north anymore. Ask any fisherman. Every 26,500 years the clock strikes, the tide ebbs, the night turns to day. We know this but what if our understanding of Yin and Yang, heaven and earth, night and dark is different than we imagine.

It blows my mind to contemplate all that we do not know. Is it reasonable to think that the Aztec calendar predictions are accurate? They were expert astronomers, but I, certainly am not. Some people say the calendar only predicts the 26,500 evolution, and it starts over.

It seems to me that we are in a cycle, like a high speed train, that we cannot control. What if the earth does shift on its axis for a period of time for several degrees? If we think we have problems now when the power goes out, can you imagine what that would look like?

I haven't seen it yet, but I hear the movie 2012 is rather realistic. Will Santa Claus ornaments, Xmas presents, xmas stockings, xmas tinsel and our festive Xmas tree toppers really matter if these WW III predictions of dooms day are true?

Perhaps we should plan to have our family photo's uploaded to the Internet early that year so we can upload them on our I-phones to the Tzolkin Calendar application where it will connect us and give us a countdown until apocalypse time, the doomsday bewitching hour?

At this point, having lived through the real crisis of Y2K and the possibility of having my identity swiped or losing my financial records because of a computer glitch and the system not being able to reflect the next digits but somehow I have trouble comparing that to a galaxy change such as moon phases, meteor showers, Doppler shifts, and a galaxy eclipse.

The tide ebbs between high and low because of the moon's phases. I've worked in both an emergency room and a nursing home, and the experienced will tell you, you can tell when it is a full moon by just how the patients act. People get a little hyper - the negative energy is in the air.

In my mind, it is perfectly comprehensible that a meteor could strike the earth. It is equally believable to me, that a shift in the inter-galactic gravity or anti-gravity (black matter) could disrupt the earth and flip it, or rotate it somehow.

So in anticipation of an event or a non-event, I've decided to plan a party. It's going to be a combination 2012 Doomsday party and a spectacular birthday celebration for my husband as he will be 49 that day.

What do you think about all this doomsday discussion?

Anyway, I like to throw a good party, and this is a good excuse to throw a big one. We'll be focusing on going green. Hopefully by that time, will have reduced our carbon footprints and given up on smoking but we are planning on making this a Great Big BBQ bash, so lovers of the earth, please forgive us for that.

That is cool Michele, I can respect that. Thank you for reading. At this point, I am writing it like fiction because I am not sure what to believe, call it shameless SEO tactics, if you will.

I don't believe in this, Kay, sorry. It is interesting to read, but I read it like fiction. I believe in Jesus Christ and He will let me know when it is time to step from this life into the everlasting life. Cheers.
