What Do You Eat on the Appetizer Diet?
If you are going to go on this diet, the only thing that you will eat during your three daily meals are appetizers, which you may have already guessed. Whether you are out at a restaurant and you only order appetizers off the menu or you make your own appetizers at home, the main key is to eat appetizers. The only thing that you are allowed to eat in between your appetizer meals are fruits and vegetables. This diet is known to be a good option for anybody who really enjoys eating appetizers.
Why is the Appetizer Diet Supposed to Work?
The way that the appetizer diet is designed to work is to help you manage and reduce the amount of calories that you eat in a day. By eating less calories, the theory is that your body will be able to lose weight quicker than if you were to eat three regular meals a day. Theoretically, if you followed this diet very strictly, it seems possible for you to lose a lot of weight. Eating small meals throughout the day is known to work quite effectively for people who have tried to lose weight and this diet is more or less based on the same type of concept.
Does the Appetizer Diet Really Help You Lose Weight?
While the appetizer diet does make a lot of sense and could very well help you lose weight if you do it the right way, there is one very important thing that you need to take into consideration. This is the type of appetizers that you are going to be eating when you are on this diet. If you plan on getting most of your appetizers from restaurants or even out of boxes, it is important to keep in mind that many appetizers may contain more calories than you would have thought. Many appetizers are also fried, greasy foods - such as mozzarella sticks and onion rings. You will be very unlikely to lose any large amounts of weight when you eat these types of appetizers.
Should You Go on the Appetizer Diet?
The main thing that you are probably wondering is whether or not the appetizer diet is really worth trying out or if it is just going to be a waste of your time. As with any other type of trend diet, it is important to keep in mind that you may lose weight while you are on the diet and then later gain the weight back once you decide to go off of it. If you really want to succeed on this diet, however, the main key is to make sure you know what type of appetizers you are eating. Choosing appetizers which mainly consist of fruits, veggies, lean meats, whole wheat and low fat cheese is the best way to go. Avoiding greasy, fried foods is very important if you are interested in succeeding on the appetizer diet.
