The Apprentice 2010, Season 10 Cast of Candidates

It's time to find out who the competitors are on season 10 of Donald Trump's Apprentice. I'm so pleased that Trump has returned to the roots of the show and found everyday men and women to compete for the title of Apprentice. Celebrity Apprentice was getting old.

While no one will ever replace the unique energy of the very first cast of The Apprentice, which included Omarosa and Bill This season of The Apprentice offers an eclectic cast of characters who all have one thing in common they have all been affected by the recession, most are unemployed or have been laid off due to the economic down turn. Trump is giving them what he is calling "a second chance."

You'll find that many of them have something else in common. In addition to working for Donald Trump to become The Apprentice, many of the candidates have their sites set on a career in show business or the public eye. That is one of the pitfalls of reality TV.

Alex - 43, background in mechanical engineering technology; driving a tow truck because he was laid off; has owned his own company in the past; managed million-dollar projects; thinks he will excel on The Apprentice, season 10 because he is not "a one-trick pony" and brings a lot to the table; a realistic competitor and the oldest competitor

Anand - 31, laid off from a firm in which he managed multi-million dollar real estate investments; entrepreneur with a vitamin infused wine company - not a good idea; wants to eventually work in media and entertainment - here's his shot, but if that is his attitude he will not be working for Donald Trump as The Apprentice; a man who speaks his mind

Brandy - 30, corporate attorney turned entrepreneur; interested in health and fitness; a strong competitor who seems to be of sound mind

Clint - 40, CPA and real estate attorney and developer; crashed due to the economy; essentially homeless as he has his family living with friends; considers himself a born "horse trader"

David - 34, , Navy vet and standup comedian (Comedians have not done well historically, at least not on Celebrity Apprentice.); wants to use Apprentice 2010 season 10 as a springboard into show business; formerly an account manager who is now unemployed

Gene - 46, formerly in U.S. Air Force; former financial advisor; currently unemployed but struggling to build his own assisted living facility; appears to be down-to-earth

James - 31, lawyer; currently laid off; just an average guy who made it to The Apprentice season 10

Kelly - 30, public relations; currently laid off; Masters in Public Communications; named one of Atlanta's "Power 30 Under 30," currently lives with parents

Liza - 30, started an educational technology company which failed due to the recession; athletic

Mahsa - 29, assistant DA in New York; hosts two web shows; said to be obsessed with beauty, hair and style; wants a better position in life to influence the world for good

Nicole - 27, former Miss Los Angeles, 4^th runner-up in Miss California USA 2008; holds law degree but despised her career in law; wants to be a co-host on The View

Poppy - 24, with a BA in Biology and a Masters in Sociology can't find a job in her field (which would be?);
lives with her parents and is a part-time caretaker; trained for Olympic swimming and won four NCAA championships in college; highly competitive; would like a job on ESPN Sports Center

Stephanie- 34, commercial lender, survivor, founded a peer network for teens affected by AIDS (both of her parents died of AIDS) and substance abuse; speaker and writer; wants to "kick butt' but work with integrity; oh, and also wants to work in television

Steuart - 27, entrepreneur; lost four companies in the recent recession; looking for his next big business venture; athletic - swimmer; nick named Dr. McDreamy; very confident in himself

Tyana - 41, real estate agent bomb-shelled buy recession; Miss Cougar California; looks to use brains and looks to get ahead of her competition on The Apprentice 2010, season 10

Wade - 33, real estate mogul; once named among "Top 30 Realtors Under 30;" hit hard by the recession but maintains he has a positive outlook; singularly focused on being The Apprentice

We will all know the cast of Apprentice candidates better following the season premier Thursday, September 16, 9 pm ET, on NBC. Mark Burnett has always pulled an interesting cast together to compete for the ultimate job interview with Donald Trump. I feel sure season 11 of The Apprentice 2010 will be no different, and it is a refreshing change from Celebrity Apprentice.

Comments made by the candidates indicate that there is quite a season in store. One contestant even said that the competitors on season 10 of The Apprentice were "over-the-top." Several made comments about back-stabbing and lying among the candidates.
