The Apprentice - March 20, 2006 : Brent Remains Outcasted by Synergy

The task this week was to design a billboard for Post Grape Nuts Trail Mix Crunch. Because of her experience in marketing, Tammy became project manager for Synergy, and her first order of business was to find someone who had presentation experience so that person could make the presentation to the Post executives. Brent was the first to volunteer - he pointed out that he had done many presentations in the past. However, Synergy still didn't trust Brent, and they decided that he wouldn't make the presentation for them.

Gold Rush began to worry when the pictures that they had taken didn't turn out well. Because of time, Charmaine didn't want to back track, and they continued with what they had. In the end, it turned out alright for them, because Gold Rush won the task.

Back at the suite, Synergy was plotting against Brent, but while they were plotting against him, Brent had his own plan, and no matter what they dished out in the boardroom, he was ready to argue with all of them. Brent's words were, "keep me out of the boardroom or you will be sorry!"

In the boardroom Brent kept his word. He became very hostile, and opened up a discussion when they weren't even talking about him to begin with. There wasn't even a need to bring anyone back to the boardroom tonight, because after Brent opened his mouth...well, that ended everything. Needless to say, Brent didn't return for dinner - he was fired.
I think if Brent would have kept his mouth shut he may not have been fired this time, but I'm not 100% certain of that since the team claimed to be doing poorly with him. Tune in next Monday to find out if Synergy does a better job without Brent.

This week's business tip is about giving a presentation. Before giving your presentation, practice what you're going to say, and practice it over and over again, until you get it right.
