The Apprentice on NBC - Week 11 : Party Time!

Sean continued to catch hell from Roxanne and Allie, and they decided to lecture him while he was trying to sleep. It didn't last long though, because Sean got up and put ear plugs in so he couldn't hear them nagging at him, and so he could sleep. I got to say, I don't blame him one bit. I probably would have done the same thing.

The teams met with Mr. Trump on the practice field at Rutgers Stadium to find out their next task. But, before finding out their task for this week, Mr. Trump evened out the teams by asking Synergy who they wanted to give up, and Sean volunteered to join Gold Rush. When Sean joined Gold Rush it became men against women again.

After evening out the teams, Mr. Trump told them their task was to work with Outback Steakhouse on a tailgating party. Each team had a separate tent set-up in a different parking lot. Synergy got the yellow lot and Gold Rush got the blue lot. During the tailgating party, each team had to sell steak and food, and the team that made the most in sales won the task. Outback Steakhouse provided cooks to help each team out.

Before leaving the practice field, Synergy celebrated because they were excited that Sean was no longer a part of their team, and also, because it was men against women again.

Because Lee told his team that he just graduated from college and he knows this task, they agreed to let him be project manager. Lee was also determined to lead Gold Rush to another victory so he could prove himself, once again, to Mr. Trump. Lee started managing by asking his team for their ideas and suggestions. Sean immediately chimed in by saying he was thinking "girls, girls, girls." Michael also made a suggestion for an eating contest to see who could eat the most steak. I guess Michael wasn't even thinking about the consequences of that one. If he got everyone eating all the free steak they could, they sure wouldn't want to buy food afterwards, and food sales was the way they were going to win the task.

After Sean and Michael got the ball rolling, Lee thought of another fun activity for the party, a money pit contest. Going back to Sean's suggestion on the girls, Gold Rush decided they would use the Rutgers' cheerleaders to draw in a huge crowd.

Roxanne took on project manager for Synergy. Synergy's first stop was at Outback Steakhouse. Synergy had decided they needed to "sample" the products they were going to be selling, and that's just what Roxanne, Allie and Tammy done - they stuffed themselves with the menu items from Outback Steakhouse.

Back at Gold Rush, Sean, Lee and Michael were real excited about the tailgate party, and they immediately went to work on creating flyers to handout. While they worked on the flyers Michael answered a phone call that brought them good news. The news was that Rutgers' cheerleaders would work for them exclusively.

After filling their bellies, Synergy decided to work on their flyers to pass out at the homecoming event. Roxanne delegated Allie to meet with the cheerleading coach to see if she could secure the cheerleaders. In the meantime, Roxanne and Tammy headed to Kinkos to print out their flyers.

After Allie left the meeting with the cheerleading coach she ran in to Gold Rush at the Pep Rally, and she saw them handing out flyers to everybody. She said she felt "empty handed" because she didn't have any flyers to hand out, and she didn't know what the delay was with Roxanne and Tammy. But it didn't stop her from telling everyone about Synergy's tailgating party. However, Gold Rush did have the upper hand, because their flyer would probably do better than Allie's verbal announcement.

After the Pep Rally, Michael met with the cheerleading coach, and she told him that after she talked to him she spoke with Synergy, and she said she promised them she would send a couple of cheerleaders there. She then asked Michael if this would be a problem, and Michael said he head no problem with it. He also said he understood fairness, but he told the cheerleading coach he needed to check with his project manager first. But when Michael phoned Lee and asked him if they could lend a couple of the cheerleaders to Synergy, Lee and Sean both told Michael "no." The decision was final; Michael called the coach back and told her they couldn't lend any of the cheerleaders to Synergy. So the cheerleading coach phoned Synergy and gave them the bad news. Since Synergy didn't have any cheerleaders they decided to dress in cheerleading uniforms instead.

The tailgating party began, and despite all the bad luck Synergy had planning the party they started to have a bit of good luck when they decided to take orders for food, and then, once the food was done, Synergy delivered it to the customers. Synergy's customers got service with a smile and even a few cheers.

Gold Rush's party was also in full swing with thousands of people in attendance. When Caroline dropped by she was worried about Gold Rush's sales. She stated Gold Rush was more focused on the fun than they were sales. Caroline was right, Gold Rush did focus more on the party. In fact, if you didn't know them you would have thought they were guests at the party instead of hosts. The thing Gold Rush did do right was attract a very large crowd, and if they had focused more on sales they could have made a fortune.

The results were revealed. Gold Rush earned a grand total of $1,750.00, and Synergy earned a grand total of $2,750.00. Synergy won by only $1000. I must say, both teams done an exceptional job!

For their reward, Synergy was flown out on Mr. Trump's helicopter to Raphael Winery in Long Island. After arriving at the winery, Synergy picked grapes which they later used to make their very own signature wine. Synergy couldn't leave Raphael Winery until they had toasted to their success.

Before going to the boardroom, Lee became worried about going into the boardroom. He said, "a cat only has nine lives and I'm about to use my eighth one." After arriving in the boardroom, Michael said he thought Lee was a good project manager, but then he attacked Lee, and Lee attacked right back. Lee told Mr. Trump, Caroline and George that he thought Michael should be fired for not making sales, and for running the microphone instead. Sean sided with Lee also putting the blame for sales onto Michael's shoulders.

Mr. Trump asked Lee…"Do you think you were wrong in setting the price?" Lee responded by saying "no, I know college students, and they don't carry a whole lot of money around." Lee also added that they had thousands of people in front of the tent, and Mr. Trump told Lee, in a stern tone, "I don't care." In the end though, it was Michael who was fired, but he wasn't fired for the sales, Mr. Trump said it was because he was willing to give up the cheerleaders.

Make sure to tune in to The Apprentice on NBC again, next Monday at 7:00p.m. (CST).
