Week 4 of "The Apprentice" 10

"The Apprentice" season 10, week 4 began with a recap of last week when the men lost to the women and James was fired.

As last week's "Apprentice 10" winning project manager Tyana was rewarded with an inspiring visit with Russell Simmons, a world class entrepreneur. Then, in a surprise gesture, she was given $10,000 from Calvin Klein to go shopping for business wear.

"The Apprentice 10" week 4 - the cock fight
It took only minutes, when Wade and David returned from the boardroom for the men to start arguing and fighting. You can guess who was at the center of it all - David. The man is a loose cannon. He went after Steuart for "throwing him under the bus" in the boardroom, when Stewart had a valid point -- David does not know when to shut up.

Then, Wade and Clint would have butted heads, but Wade softly crumbled when Clint took the project manager job out from under him. Wade told Donald Trump in the boardroom that he would be the next project manager. Clint took the job, disregarding that Wade had given his word to Trump.

Clint didn't want a weak manager like Wade, and Wade did show weakness by backing down and letting Clint have his way. That was a bad move for Wade, no matter how you look at it.

"The Apprentice" season 10 - week 4 task
This weeks the teams had an interesting challenge. They were told to create a viral video for Popcorn Indiana. This was a task that the teams could have had a lot of fun with, but the "Apprentice 11" candidates lack creativity and originality. (Where is the drive and ambition in these people who are out of work???)

Clint went into the challenge as the men's project manager.

Mahsa stepped up to lead the women.

Both groups had the opportunity to work with Charley Todd, viral video guru, to get their creative juices flowing.

Mahsa had no idea what kind of campaign Popcorn Indiana was asking for. It made her mad that Tyana pointed that out to the group. Of course, Mahsa lost control and had to yammer on and on about Tyana. Kelly took Tyana's constructive direction as complaining. These women had no clue what they were doing.

The women decided to film people working out and eating popcorn. It was novel, but not good. It was more like a commercial than a guerilla marketing campaign to create a viral video.

Mahsa sent Tyana, Liza, and Poppy shopping to get the out of the group meeting and to have someone to blame if the women lost the task. Her strategy was not lost on Tyana.

When they got back she jerked the three back into the creative process so that in case of a loss they couldn't say she side-railed them.

The men had ideas going, but David had to step away from the task when he lost part of a tooth eating a bagel. It's always something with this guy.

The men's idea could have worked, but instead of turning into a fun popcorn fight, like a pillow fight, it turned into slamming people in the face with popcorn bags. It wasn't that great and it wasn't brand appropriate.

"The Apprentice" - season 11, week 4 - In the boardroom
Both teams thought they did well, when in fact they both had poor execution on this task.

Only Tyana spoke up on the women's team to say that she thought they didn't pull-off a guerilla marketing stunt. Tyana's comments got Mahsa started. When Mahsa, an assistant DA , gets started no one can get a word in edgewise. It is very frustrating to listen to her, as well.

The men's team won, despite their video being too violent for the product brand.

Once the women's team was alone in the boardroom everyone piled on Tyana.

Instead of seeing her as being constructive they said she only complained, and offered no solutions. She wasn't given the opportunity to contribute any solutions, but Trump wasn't hearing it.

He made the wrong call this time. Trump fired Tyana.

Will the women's team be able to pull themselves back together for next week's task on "The Apprentice 11?" They have a long way to go before they are going to work as a team. If the women don't get their act together they will be slaughtered next week. They are a shambles of a team.
