THE ARK of the COVENANT

Do You Remember the Ark?

Jeff  Miztah  Rogers
A KINGDOM PASSAGE: Jeremiah 3: 16-17 "And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more." (KJV Bible)

"AT THAT TIME they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart."

In this passage we see some major difficulty for the Dispensational position. The teaching of Dispensationalism is that in the 1000 year literal physical millennial kingdom, Israel will have in Jerusalem a rebuilt temple and will offer sacrifices again on God's altar.

But the prophet Jeremiah says: THERE WILL BE NO ARK OF THE COVENANT THERE.

---They shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD

---Neither shall it come to mind:

---Neither shall they remember it;

---Neither shall they visit it;

---Neither shall that be done any more.

Question: How do you conduct sacrifice with no altar? The lid of the Ark of the Covenant is the Mercy Seat. This is where the old testament sacrificial blood was applied. If you have no Ark, then you have no mercy seat. Where do you apply the blood of the sacrifice in this future kingdom?

This is, like I said a Major problem for the dispensational position.

Folks, it is time to start re-opening our bible and following it, rather than the most popular prophecy "Experts" out there. We need to start again, like the Bereans and search (for ourselves) the scripture to "SEE IF THESE THINGS ARE SO."

I am already beginning to forget about the Ark...we have Christ the substance of those old shadows; Hallelujah!

    We don't need the Ark anymore cuz it's the Ark of the Old Covenant. It was in the Holy of holies where the high priest went once a year. Like Hebrews 4:14-16 says, Christ is our high priest and we can approach the throne of God with confidence because we are now under the new covenant.
