The Arrival of Death

From TB'S Poetry Book "Disturbances"

T.B. Taylor

As night falls over the city

I can hear you call.

Your cold breath touches my skin.

And I feel myself fall.

I see the spirits floating away

I know mine wants to be free.

I can taste the danger in the night

But if I go will you follow me?

It's coming closer i can tell;

Closer with your breath.

And when you come it will be here

For with your kiss comes death.
