Colorado Premiere of Curt Morgan Film Featuring Travis Rice

Head's up Warren Miller, there's some new kids on the hill catching big air with their snowboarding film, "The Art of FLIGHT." Filmmaker Curt Morgan and world class snowboarder Travis Rice are touring their latest epic around the world this fall, with the Colorado Premiere screening in Denver, and additional screenings in Boulder and Aspen.

"The Art of FLIGHT" was shot on a Hi-Def camera at 1,050 Frames per second, capturing exotic and untouched locales in the mountains of Patagonia, Alaska, Canada, Romania, Wyoming and Austria. The trailer alone is breathtaking and boasts cinematography that doesn't miss a beat from the super slow-mo snowflakes falling, dizzying helmet cam chaos and avalanche chasing helicopter action.

According to a Washington Post piece on the film, near death experiences, 3 hospitalizations and a rumored $2 Million budget add up to a one of a kind film. It was produced by Morgan's Jackson, WY based Digital Cinema company, Brain Farm using state of the art equipment like an cinematic armory of digital assassins on a mission to dominate expectations.

Those expectations are usually a small market of snowboarding docs enthusiasts, or as Travis Rice calls it, "Ski Porn," but Morgan's style reaches beyond smut. Just like his 2008 film "That's It, That's All," with Travis Rice, it blended personal storytelling and vibrant nature cinematography packed into a balls-to-the-wall snowboarding epic. You can view the trailer at www.milehighcinema.com; tickets are available for the Colorado premiere at the Ellie Calkins Opera House in Denver on Sept. 27, at the Boulder Theatre Sept. 28 or at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen Sept. 20, additional to a full world tour through November.
