1. Friends of both genders can surely be of great help and they can provide tips on dating since as they understand well what the person of their opposite gender likes. You can take tips from your friends but you shouldn't approach them to help you in getting dates. This will send across a wrong signal as your date might feel that you are too timid and lack confidence in approaching him or her on your own.
2. Please avoid making direct and nasty sexual implications. This would project you as a pervert.
2. Don't blow your own trumpet. You should never boast about your job or salary. If you are well off, they will get an idea from your clothes, house or the car you drive. You don't need to blow your own horns by stating the obvious as it can be a huge put down for most women/men.
3. Don't be overtly polished and slick. You should act cool but you should be careful not to overdo things.
4. Don't be self-indulgent and talk about your own taste, likes, dislikes, achievements etc. When someone talks only about himself, it is extremely boring for the other person. You should concentrate on listening more instead of talking. This will make the other person feel important and show that you are interested to know about him or her.
5. Don't do things which could show that you are insecure because insecurity is a sign of weakness and hence not attractive. If you want to be taken seriously, you should hide your fears and apprehensions.
6. Avoid using cheap pick-up Lines. These are funny but you shouldn't try using them on the person you like. Just a simple hi or how are you doing would be fine.
You can flirt efficiently and successfully if you avoid the above mistakes. There is no harm in flirting and most men and women enjoy doing it. All you need to do is learn the right way.
