I'll use myself as an example. I listen to my surroundings, I listen to the cars as they go by on the street, I listen to my refrigerator as it hums. With all of this listening going on, you may wonder how in the world I find time to do anything else.
Listening to your heart is a whole different matter all together. Listening to your intuition or to your gut is like listening to your heart. Not your physical heart but, your spiritual being.
When I listen to my heart; for some reason it likes me to write. I'm not sure why but, I guess I'm pretty good at it. I have resisted the urge to write at every turn. At first my logical mind would set in and say," writing is a complete waste of time, the world is full of writers, all writers starve to death and die miserable. What the heck am I going to write that is so special?"
Now, the previous paragraph was an example of the inner dialogue in my head. If I were to listen to my logical mind and not follow my heart, it would be a travesty of immense proportions.
I have seen the light. I have chased the pot of gold and it really is at the end of the rainbow. I've suffered in silence as the words have ached to get out of me for so long. I guess they were really frustrated with me when I couldn't write that fast and I didn't know how to type. But, now that I know how to type; I got more words coming out of me than ever before.
I never knew that I had so much to say. I always thought of myself as a recluse, a loner. I thought that I would be shunned to live in silence, forever. The writer inside me has awoken.
So, why not give writing a try? You just may find that you are good at something afterall. It's amazing that I have all of this information in me. I really don't know where it comes from. All I know is that it's there and I need to share it with everyone.
Life is about sharing, isn't it?
