The Art of Spell Casting

Is spell casting an art? It surely can be. Spell casting can be very subtle or quite involved.

I am going to explain to you a little about spell casting, and my beliefs. If you should ever decide to practice spell casting, you can practice the way I do, or add or take away from my ideas to suit your personal needs. There is no right and wrong way to cast a spell, as long as you feel good and believe in what you are doing.

Before you cast a spell, carefully think out what it is that you hope to achieve by casting your spell. Your main focus should be on that...the end result. You do not have to worry about how the universe or God(dess) will bring your spell to fruitation. Just make sure that your desire is high, your attitude is positive, and your belief is strong.

After you have thought out what you would like the outcome of your spell to involve, you can add "props" to help you focus. You can use many, few or even none at all. It all depends on your comfort level.

My favorite is candles. I like to chose them by color significance, or a color that feels right for my purpose. I like to anoint them with oil, usually special recipes I have prepared for my needs. On occasion I even carve words or symbols into the candle.

I usually then charge the candle with energy and watch it burn, or leave it alone to burn out and manifest my desires.

Other things you may wish to use while spell casting, are crystals or stones. You can even use very basic, rocks and arrange them to make a symbol, for instance - a dollar sign if you wish to attract money, a heart if you want to draw love, etc.

Some people like to use more than one candle, or a specially shaped candle. Some use a candle to represent the God and Goddess. For a binding spell, you may want to use rope. In witchcraft and spell casting, you can be very creative. You can "decorate" to your hearts content, to set up for a spell. Everything you do has potential to add more power to your spell.

Just be very careful when you are working with fire, and never leave your residence while leaving a candle burning.
