Deep somewhere in the Hollywood under ground are talks of a new movie venture, the latest in the long list of 1980's recreations, the action packed movie version of the A-Team. Rumor has it that Liam Neeson is in "talks with 20th-Century Fox to head the cast as Col John "Hannibal" Smith," according to Claudine Zap of Yahoo Buzz Log. Another possible cast member is Bradley Cooper, from the movie Hangover. It has been suggested that he will play Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck, according to Zap. While the rapper common has been rumored and listed among the actors of the film at IMDB to be playing Sgt. Bosco "B.A". Baracus.

The popular movie sight IMDB has already listed the A-Team as in pre-production and is scheduled to begin in late August, with a theater date of sometime in 2010. The new A-Team's screenplay is written by Michael Brandt, while Stephen J. Cannell , one of the original creators of the A-Team, is credited for the character creation. The film will be directed by Joe Carnahan.

The plot of this version of the A-Team has been updated to fit our current political and military climate. The plot centers on, "A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed."

Ms. Zap cites variety as saying that this version of the A-Team will be similar to Mission Impossible or Oceans 11. Either way, it promises to be a really exciting remake of the original version.

The original A-Team which aired from 1983-1987, was nominated for three Emmys, won the People's Choice Award, and Stuntman Award, as well as was nominated for a TV Land award, according to IMDB.

The original plot was about, "Four Vietnam vets, framed for a crime they didn't commit, help the innocent while on the run from the military." They had been accused of robbing the "Bank of Hanoi, which they had robbed under orders," only to find their commanding officer had been killed. They were then sent to a military prison where they escaped.

The original show has the men helping those in need while fleeing from the military police. The interesting assortment of characters such as "Howling Mad" Murdock, Face Man, B.A., and Hannibal never left fans disappointed. This new version of the A-Team shouldn't leave fans disappointed either.
