Before I bring you up to date on this delightful establishment, I would like to share with you a bit of it's history. The first structure erected on the property was a carriage house for horses over 100 years ago. Then modern technology came along and brought forth automobiles as the new means of transportation, so the building was entirely reconstructed and became the city's bus depot. New owners purchased the bus depot in the 1940's and converted the building into a movie house which continued to operate until the mid 70's, at which point it was last converted into the performing arts theater also known as the Auburn Avenue Theater.
Through the years the theater has presented a variety of live quality performances such as Broadway musicals, mystery theater, concerts and children's theater. I personnaly visited the theater a few years ago and I can truthfully say I had a fantastic time. I saw the musical "Dancing In The Rain" and I was mesmerized! The decor was both welcoming and comfortable. The staff very helpful and the performers outstanding and friendly. I really appreciated that at the end of the show the performers took the time to line up in the lobby as everyone was leaving to shake our hands and answer any questions we may have had. The extra effort they showed further enhanced, my already fabulous time!
The pricing for the shows are approx. $6.00 - $20.00 depending on the venue
