The Auction Widget that Pays You for Views!

Help with E-Bay Selling Fees!

b l baird
I have been selling on e-Bay for about a year now and buying for much longer. I also started my own website but sales on e-Bay have been the only activity I have really had. As anyone who sells on e-Bay knows, they have raised the final value fees and this takes a bigger bite out of any sales that are made. Also, with the economic slow downs sales in general are fewer. In an effort to keep some profit I have looked into many different advertising and search engine submission ideas. I have found one that seems to be working well so far. The Auction Widget is a fairly simple to use item gallery that can be added to your auction and store listing items. It did take me a few tries to figure out the copy and paste code but once I got it, it was easy and they have improved the system as well. This widget is only for e-Bay listings but it does work.

The basics of the widget:

The widget itself displays a picture gallery of all the items you have listed for auction and items listed in your e-Bay store, if you have one. It is best if you place the widget at the bottom of your template listing. The shopper will have a view of these items and can scroll across to get a basic description. If they click on the particular item they will be taken to a page that shows them that item and below that, a few more of your item pictures. If they click again, on the item picture, or any other of your item pictures, they will be taken directly to your listed item on e-Bay. They are not taken to any other off-site advertising pages. There are other advertisements below your items and sometimes on the right sidebar if one shows up. These advertisements do not interfere with your items as they are below and again, they do not take the shopper to any other sites unless they specifically click on that ad.

Payments:

You receive payments to your account based on the number of clicks to your items off of the widget. The shopper does not have to click on the ads below your items, just on your items. Payments are based on the price of the item the shopper clicked on. I receive an average of .04 per click based on my item prices. Your payments would differ based on your prices but the minimum is .03. This is paid by the advertisers that have the ads below yours, a type of click through view. You can also receive one-time payments for other sellers that you refer to the Auction Widget that sign up through you.

Summary:

You can actually receive payments just for people looking at your item listings. I have earned over $1.00 in the first ten days of using the widget. It may not seem like much but every bit helps.

You get a very nice picture gallery that shows a large number of your other listings to help sell additional items and generate more traffic.

The buyer is not taken to a bunch of other advertisements of other sites. The income you earn comes from the advertisers that have links below your items.
