The food we eat gives us energy. It allows us to perform different activities daily. If you fill your tank with the right type of fuel, it will run as efficient it should be just like eating healthy foods. If you put in the wrong fuel, it may run for a while but it might get damaged and could totally break down. The same thing goes for unhealthy foods. It could really have an adverse effect on the body such as obesity or even digestive and circulatory system problems.
The engine is what powers the car making the car move. The same thing could be said with our heart as it uses oxygen and transports that throughout the body. Working out can definitely make your heart healthier especially if you do a lot of cardiovascular exercises. It's like keeping your engine in peak performance.
The chassis and the body of the car resemble our skeletal system. It gives us our form and framework. Take care of your movements while you are working out. If you get hurt, don't push yourself anymore or you may make it worse. If you have a sore knee, don't jump too much or don't jump at all. It's like a car. Any problem in the body may affect the way you drive and could make it worse unless you fix it.
Water cools the engine while it's running. Without enough water, the engine might overheat. The same thing goes with the body. As you sweat, you lose water in your body so you should always re-hydrate yourself while working out.
While working out, we need resistance in order to push ourselves and make us sweat such as lifting heavy weights or using machines and resistance bands. The same thing goes when you have a lot of passengers or heavy cargo. It will put stress on the car making it work harder.
The wheels resemble our limbs. It allows us to move around. Make sure it has the right set of tires and if possible according to the manufacturer's specification, if any. Use protective equipment while working out. This will give you a much safer and possibly more comfortable workout.
Aftermarket parts for cars provide performance boosts in several areas such as speed, cornering, suspension, braking, and fuel efficiency and so on. In working out, this is like the supplements we take such as extra carbohydrates for energy and more protein for muscle growth and strength.
I usually like to correlate things especially if I find something similar and interesting. Well, these are just some things that I have been thinking about between my love of cars and working out.
