I walked in the room and saw you there.
You grinned at me and began to stare.
I didn't see it then but everyone says,
That you and I are twins.
All I know is that moment in time,
When we first locked eyes was an awakening in both our eyes.
Back then I thought that you were sweet.
I had no idea what a treat was in store for me as we said good night.
We made some music and chatted as we ate.
I had my first taste of Saki and learned that sushi was actually great.
The awakening happened a wee bit later.
It was a moment in time that I will never forget.
That stare that seemed to burn a hole through my heart still
Left me changed forever, but not with regret.
