The Awesome Break Up

R-Truth was suspended 30 days for violating WWE's Wellness Policy. Truth's suspension forced the WWE to write him off television. Instead of having Truth suffer an injury at the hands of John Cena or The Rock. They decided to have his own tag team partner turn on him.

On the November 21 ^st , episode of Raw The Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth) interrupted John Cena during his promo. Cena had heard enough from The Awesome Truth telling them to "SHUT UP". Shortly after insulting them Cena told "You want to know what's awesome? He thinks (The Miz) you're a wacked out nut job who never had talent in the first place and is just riding his coat tails. And you want to know what the truth is? The truth is he (R-Truth) thinks you're a pompous, arrogant, attention stealing D-Lister who's biggest accomplishment was being a skinny loud mouth on a crappy reality show." After informing The Miz and R-Truth what they really think of each other Cena left the ring. Shortly after The Miz and Truth began to argue. The argument escalated causing The Miz to push Truth. Truth retaliated by punching The Miz in the face. The Miz got Truth to calm down by convincing him that they needed to get Cena. Truth and The Miz left the ring and headed backstage. When they reached the top of the entrance ramp The Miz delivered a 'Skull Crushing Finale' leaving Truth lying there as Raw went off the air.

It's unfortunate that Truth was suspended but the WWE could have handled the situation in a different way. The Awesome Truth was not even around for six months. It seems like the WWE was punishing Truth for his mistake. Yet, early this month when Evan Bourne was suspended the WWE did nothing. At the time of his suspension Bourne was one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions. To this date Bourne is still one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions. The WWE should have punished Bourne by taking his Championship away from him. They failed to do so, which is why it looks like the were punishing Truth by breaking up a tag team that did not even last for six months. The WWE could have written Truth off of television a bunch of different ways. He could have been attacked by Cena instead of The Miz. He could have been attacked by The Rock the night before at Survivor Series. The best thing the WWE could have done was used the suspension to their advantage. Truth had been complaining for months that a conspiracy was taking place within the WWE. The WWE could have scheduled The Awesome Truth to be in a Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Before the Match ever began, the WWE could have served Truth his suspension papers forcing the Match to be canceled. That way The Miz could continue to talk about the conspiracy within the WWE. By talking about his partner and Tag Team Championship Match being taken away from him.

Hopefully, when Truth returns the WWE allows him to remain heel. It will be hard to do but if Truth can over look the attack from The Miz they have a chance. Truth can claim that his time away from the ring gave him time to think. After watching the footage over and over again he realized that it was Cena who forced The Miz to attack him. Therefore, he has no hard feelings against The Miz and upon his return he goes after Cena.

If the WWE decides to turn Truth face and go after The Miz it will only be a matter of time before Truth gets lost in the mix of Superstars. After facing The Miz, Truth will not have anything going for him. Truth will have to get in line behind Superstars like John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton, Sheamus, John Morrison, and Zack Ryder. For that reason the WWE needs to allow Truth to remain heel upon his return.
