'The Bachelor’ 2012 Week 6: Who Went Home and What was All the Crying About?

Victoria Leigh Miller

If you watched the previews of this week's "Bachelor," you may have thought that someone died. Casey Shteamer's hysterical sobs were shown before every commercial break - and it looked bad. So what was the big tragedy - and who did Ben Flajnik send home this week?

First up, the gang travels to Panama this week, where Ben has another one on one date with Kacie B. They are dropped off on a desert island, where Ben does his best Gilligan act -- although it probably doesn't count as being stranded on a desert island when there's camera crew in tow.

Ben and Kacie spend the afternoon fishing and then it's time for dinner, during which she details her high school eating disorder. Ben's eyes glaze over as she talks (this guy is no actor), but he gives her a rose anyway.

This week's group date is even more entertaining. After a boat ride in the Panamanian jungle, Ben and his tribe of girls spend the day with a local tribe painting their faces and wearing tribal clothing. Courtney decides to not wear a bathing suit under her beaded tribal garb. Even the natives get restless over that one!

Later, Jamie (who?) beats Ben's ear about how much she really likes him and how she knows she hasn't shown it, blah blah blah. Ben is having a hard time listening, because Courtney is in the background giving him a peep show as she frolics in the water. Ben decides to avoid all the nonsense and gives Lindzi the group date rose. He's liked her from Day 1 and she behaves.

Next up it' the dreaded 2 on 1 date, starring Blakeley and Rachel. Blakely is ecstatic that she only has to share her date with one other girl. The fact that it's a Latin dancing date is even better, because Blakeley loves to dance. Later, she even gets sentimental and shares a collage she has made of all of her memories of Ben. Doesn't matter. Ben sends a heartbroken Blakeley home and Rachel gloats.

You know something's up when Chris Harrison shows up and it's not time for a rose ceremony. He pulls Casey S. out of the group and says they have to chat. Seems Casey has been keeping a little secret from producers - as in, she has a boyfriend back home. His name is Michael and three different people have told Harrison that Casey is still in love with him.

Casey denies the accusations, but then says she is having trouble getting over Michael. He refuses to marry her, so she wants a guy like Ben who wants to get married. Chris suggests that they go talk to Ben about this. Ben is not happy that Casey has kept this secret from him, because he has sent other, much more worthy girls home. He tells Casey, "I don't sugar coat things. I think you should go home."

Casey's hysterical limo ride home shows her doing the ugly cry again and lamenting that she can't go back to Michael after this, she just can't! And now she's lost Ben and will have to start over and find someone else to love!

Back to the cocktail party. Jamie is once again trying to get Ben's attention, so what better way than to straddle him and teach him how to kiss? Ben is amused at first but quickly gets frustrated over her "instruction manual" kissing style. It's no shocker that come rose ceremony time, Jamie is sent home. Heart stomping? Just another day in the life of "The Bachelor."

Next week: It's off to Belize!

"The Bachelor" Season 16 airs on Monday night on ABC.
