The Bachelor/Bachelorette: Fedotowsky and Lambton Go Out on Date and Announcement to Be Made on Tuesday

ABC's Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky and Chris Lambton did not go out on their final date in Tahiti despite their connection. This time it was Ali's mother and Chris' father who met for a date.

Elizabeth Fedotowsky and Ed Lambton recently had a lunch date at a wine bar on Cape Cod, after she was bold enough to show up at his house to introduce herself, reports the Boston Herald. There was no love connection made.

The world met Ed, a widower since 2008, during the airing of The Bachelorette's hometown date with Chris and Ali. He had approved of Ali, saying that she was "a keeper."

Will Chris be the next Bachelor?

Entertainment Weekly reported that 71 percent of those polled wanted to see Chris Lambton as the star on season 15 of The Bachelor, but that he had turned down the offer. The producers have been trying to convince him otherwise.

Chris will join Cape Cod radio morning show duo, Dan Mahoney and Stephanie Viva, from 106.1 WCOD on September 7th at 7:10 a.m. to make a "big" announcement.

None of the bachelors from the previous 14 seasons have married the persons given final rose.

Season 13's Bachelor Jason Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft, changed his mind during the After the Final Rose show, and chose runner-up Molly Malaney. Mesnick and Malaney married in February 2010.

Perhaps Lambton will be the one to change The Bachelor trend.
