Jason and Molly Announce Her Move to Seattle

The drama definitely ramped up on The Bachelor's After The Final Rose - Part Two episode, concluding this season of The Bachelor. If you're a fan of the series, you know that this season's dramatic ending was filled with twists, turns, surprises, and plenty of tears and heartbreaking moments. It all came to a close last night.

The show started out with a recap of Monday's shocking drama. The Bachelor Jason Mesnick told host Chris Harrison that, "It has been a crazy time. I came here to find love." We once again saw the raw emotions of both Melissa and Molly as bachelor Jason picked Melissa, then said that he was still in love with Molly. He then proceeded to break-up with Melissa on national TV, explaining, "I feel like things are different. The chemistry started changing. We are not right for each other. I do still have feelings for Molly." It was an excruciating moment to relive yet again.

Flash forward to the present where five of this season's most popular bachelorettes were on hand for the live broadcast. Nikki stated that Jason's decision to break-up with Melissa was heartbreaking, and that it ended with such a tearful situation. Stephanie told host Chris that it was the right situation, and that you just have to follow your heart. You must decide, "Who's going to be the best role model for my baby?" Naomi was a bit more outspoken when she said, "I was literally one to throw my fist through the screen, and punch him."

Then, it was time for comments from the audience. "He did look torn," stated on viewer. From a male audience member, "I would never propose to someone if I had that reaction (Jason's breakdown after Molly left). It's unacceptable." When the host asked if any one in the audience was mad at Jason, one person stated, "He didn't really think. You don't go from being devastated and crying on the balcony to asking someone to marry you. It was hard to watch."

It was then Jason's turn to come on stage, and explain his controversial decisions. You could definitely feel his tension over the awkward situation he created. "I didn't think they'd let me back in here. It wasn't the classiest thing, but I had to follow my heart. I'm not proud of what I did to her (Melissa), but I made the right choice for all of us. I was just honest, and that's the truth. We made mistakes, but I followed my heart, my head, and even though I hurt people, I did it with integrity. Melissa was the ultimate wife, but Molly challenges me. She is my best friend," he explained to the hushed audience. Of course, Mellissa was not part of it. Host Chris explained that she was at home in Texas, and decided not to participate in the show. Excellent decision, Melissa!

Molly and Jason appeared in the next segment together. Host Chris explained to the audience and viewers, "When Jason asked Molly for a second chance, she gave it to him." Chris asked Molly if she has forgiven Jason, and she responded, "Of course, I've forgiven him. It makes us that much stronger. We have a strong appreciation of each other." Jason continued, "We've been able to see each other a handful of weekends, and it keeps getting better. I'm so glad she sad yes." When asked if she was moving to Seattle, Molly responded, "Yes, we both followed our hearts." In a corny moment, Chris brought out the tent that Molly and Jason spent the night in on one of their first dates.

The new Bachelorette was announced during the final segment. While a lot of people were hoping that it would be Melissa, Jillian was tagged to choose from 25 eligible bachelors during the next season of The Bachelorette.

Whew! It has been a long season. I'm very sad for Melissa, and hope she recovers from this mess very soon. I'm happy for Jason and Molly, but I realize that the show does not have a good track record for producing long-lasting relationships. I will remain hopeful, though for Ty's sake. This season has caused a lot of commotion and varying public opinion. My prediction for the bachelor did and didn't come true. Big twists resulted in BIG ratings for The Bachelor. The blogs out there continue to roar with angry comments. I say, let it die. This will be my last article on The Bachelor. Best wishes for your own happy romance.
