The Bachelor: Jake Gets a Backbone

Rachel Heller
This week on The Bachelor the most exciting thing happened. Yes, folks, Jake developed a backbone. He sent Michelle home who was begging to go home for two weeks and he told Elizabeth, the teasing nanny to go fly a kite. I promise that was the last Mary Poppins reference. Anyway, here's a little tip. Sensible men and women don't like game players! If you want to kiss someone, kiss someone, In addition, what did Elizabeth expect, she came on a show where many people get kissed and dismissed. Get a grip, Elizabeth. Good luck with your future romantic relationships because you will need it.

Vienna and Jake faced their fear of heights together by going bungee jumping. I must say that the upside down kiss between them was romantic. I am okay with Vienna getting a rose; however, I think it was wrong for her to go on and on about the date or take time away from other women when she already had a rose. But, I must stress this point, ladies, if you want Jake to forget about Vienna, please don't tell him every chance you get that you hate her. He will want to protect her and he will grow closer to her. Talk about yourself, not Vienna.

The comedy club date was boring because none of the girls were funny. Michelle took her strangeness to a new level and Jake was having none of it. I am so proud of him; way to go Jake. Let's just say that Jake got the last laugh.

The date at Sea World with Ella and Ethan was fine, but enough with the helicopters. Does ABC have a special helicopter budget? On the date it seemed as if Jake spent more time with Ethan than Ella. She also acted like she wanted a father for her son and not a husband. I like Ella, but I don't see her lasting too much longer on the show.

We also learned this week that Valisha went home but when did jake even talk to her? I think that Ali, Tenley, Vienna, Gia, and Corrie going far. I like Jake more and more every time I see him. He is a nice guy with a backbone. Therfore, Jake is a catch. Let's hope he doesn't finish last again.

I couldn't agree with you more. I, too, was ecstatic that Jake finally showed that backbone. I wasn't sure he ever would. Showing Michelle the door early and letting Elizabeth know he didn't enjoy her little game-playing act and then not giving her a rose, shows us, but especially the rest of the girls left, that he's serious about this. I think the next one we should keep an eye on is Ali. She first came across as a sweet girl-next-door type, but now she seems very mean and manipulative. I like Jake better and better as time goes on.
