The final competition on the Bachelor Pad - Ballroom dancing.
The couples were surprised by the final competition. Each couple was paired with a dance instructor from Dancing with the Stars to learn the choreography for a final ballroom dance competition.
Tenley and Kiptyn had Chelsie Hightower as an instructor to learn the foxtrot. Tenley's background in dance should have given this couple a distinct advantage in the ballroom dance competition, but Kiptyn had never danced before and was obviously nervous and a little clueless.
Jesse Kovacs and Elizabeth had Edyta Sliwinski teaching them the rumba. Kovacs seemed to have the best time dancing with Edyta. He couldn't keep his eyes off her body, which, of course, made Elizabeth insanely jealous. She has to be the most jealous and insecure woman on the show.
Natalie and Dave were with Louis van Amstel learning to dance the cha-cha. They both worked very hard, knowing they were in hot pursuit of $250.000.
At times the dance instruction got tense and aggrivating for the couples, but after 6 hours of training the couples were ready, or not, in front of the judges.
Every couple went into the competition desperate to win the roses and secure their spot in the final four.
Bachelor Pad couples on the dance floor.
The couples were judged on performance, chemistry, and effort. That was kind criteria because it acknowledged that a lot was expected of the couples having had a dance routine thrown at them six hours earlier.
The judges for the Bachelor Pad dance competition were Melissa Rycroft, Jake Pavelka, and Trista, the first Bachelorette ever. I couldn't believe they brought Jake back to haunt Tenley after the way he treated her. On the other hand, Elisabeth treated him wrong, so I suppose it all balanced out in the end.
Tenley and Kiptyn danced first and did amazingly well for Kiptyn to have had no more experience than he did. They did well until they fell at the end. The judges were extremely nice to them and they ended up with a final score of 26.
Jesse Kovacs and Elizabeth danced the rumba. They fumbled all over the dance floor. Instead of smiling they both seemed to be concentrating on what they were doing, too much. Their uncertainty and nerves were obvious.
Elizabeth knew their performance was not good and as they declined on the dance floor their disappointment began to show. The one thing the judges spotted in them was chemistry, but they ended up with a final score of 24. Not enough to beat Tenley and Kiptyn.
David and Natalie went to the dance floor knowing they had to blow the judges away with the cha-cha in order to have a chance at winning. They did a phenomenal job and had a lot of chemistry on the dance floor, but only earned 25 points.
Tenley and Kiptyn won the competition and made it through to the final four, safe from elimination.
Chris gave them the news that they would make the choice as to who would go with them to the finals. The smart choice was to take Jesse Kovacs and Elisabeth because no one really cared much for Elisabeth.
The final couples on Bachelor Pad.
Kiptyn and Tenley chose Dave and Natalie to go with them to the final four. Obviously, Tenley and Kiptyn are both very genuine people and went with their friendships and their hearts. Their chances at winning would have increased exponentially had she sent home Dave and Natalie.
The Bachelor Pad finals.
The final winner of the $250,000 was to be determined Big Brother and Survivor style with those who were previously voted off the Bachelor Pad making the decision as to who would win the $250,000.
Before the money was awarded the men and women from the Bachelor Pad the contestants had a chance to update the audience. They also had a chance to call out the final four for things that were done to them in the Bachelor Pad.
Gia and Wes hooked up momentarily.
Michelle, the crazy girl, got a chance to question Tenley for spreading rumors that she hooked up with Craig.
There weren't as many fireworks as I expected, and maybe secretly wanted to see, before the couples were given the opportunity to plead their case before their peers.
In a dramatic and tension filled vote their peers voted Dave and Natalie through as the final couple. I was shocked and think that their outgoing personalities made the difference for Dave and Natalie. Honestly, Dave played everything and everyone to get himself and Kovacs to the finals, regardless of how it affected others. Yet, he had the charisma that kept people captivated and loyal, including Wes and Krisily, to win the final vote.
Natalie and Dave go for the $250.000 Bachlor Pad prize.
Dave and Natalie were split up and sent off stage. They had to choose whether they wanted to keep the money or share the money. It seemed like a no-brainer. In order to win the best way for both of them to vote was to share the money.
If one voted keep the money and the other voted to share, the one who voted keep the money would get to keep all the money. If both of them picked keep the money the prize was going to be split among their former house mates.
Both Natalie and Dave voted to share the money, so both went home with $125,000.

Post a CommentTenley and Kiptyn lost Bachelor Pad for themselves. All they had to do was take Elisabeth and Jesse Kovacs to the finals. I was kind of surprised how many people voted for Dave and Natalie. At least Kiptyn and Tenley have each other http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5754866/bachelor_pad_are_kiptyn_and_tenley.html?cat=39 They are the only couple that is still together.
These shows seem to come and go so quickly. Maybe I'm just getting old! Great recap.
thanks! :) jeffrey
