The Bachelor in Paris: Meeting the Parents

The shows almost over, it's come down to meeting the parents now. Boy, it seems like this season's Bachelor flew by! Travis began his hometown date with Moana in San Clemente, California. While on the beach, Travis discussed his plans to move to the mountains, and he asked Moana what she though.

Moana told him she was open to it, but it seemed to me that she wasn't really all that interested in talking about Nashville, or Travis's plans to move to the mountains. Although, I think this date really went down hill from the time Travis walked through the doors to meet Moana's parents. He wasn't really given a very warm welcome. From the time he walked through the door the only thing Moana's family done was question Travis about his motives for being on the show.

When it came time for Travis to leave Moana apologized to him for the way her family treated him. They shared a kiss, and Travis left. I think Travis was ready to get out of there. I can't say that I blame him; I would have been ready the moment I walked through the door. You know that had to be terribly uncomfortable for him.

Travis's next adventure took him to Winnipeg, Canada, to visit Sarah B. and her family. During their conversation at a local bar Sarah brings up the other women and it seemed to bother Travis. He didn't know if Sarah talking about the other women was jealousy or competition. Of course it was jealousy, what did he expect.

Travis and Sarah reconnected after meeting Sarah's family; he received a much warmer welcome there. Finding out that one of Sarah's brothers was in medical school really made for warm conversation with the family.

Travis even gave him advice and encouraged him. I think Travis really enjoyed himself around Sarah's family, but Sarah does need to get off the subject of bringing up the other women. If nothing else this will scare Travis off. They all know when they audition for the show that there will be other women, I don't know why they have to dwell on it all the time.

Travis seemed excited to be back in his hometown, and he couldn't hardly believe that him and Sarah S. lived a mile away from each other; it's odd how they never met. While in Nashville, Travis and Sarah visited the park. During their date, at the park, they were interrupted by the kids Sarah teaches. It showed Travis how compassionate and great Sarah was. It also showed Travis that she would make a great mother one day - something he said he was searching for.

When it came time to meet the parents again, Travis invited Sarah's dad Addison, mother Vernita, and Aunt Rhoda over to his house for dinner. When Travis mentioned moving to the Rocky Mountains it didn't go over too well with Mom. Even though Mom didn't like the idea of him moving to the mountains, and possibly taking Sarah with him, Travis did get her parents' full approval.

Travis's final visit was Durham, North Carolina where he would meet up with Susan. While meeting Susan's family, Susan's Mom let Travis know that she didn't think Susan was ready for another relationship just yet, not after just getting out of an engagement. My opinion, I think Susan still has feelings for her ex-finance', and she may have jumped into this too quickly.

I also believe Susan's parents know that too, and they're just trying to let Travis know in a nice way. You need to give old wounds time to heal, and Susan didn't seem to be doing that. I believe she's trying to feel the void by jumping too quickly into another relationship. What do you think?

Back in Paris, at the chateau, Travis had to face the women again, only this time he would be sending one home. Sarah B's jealousy must have been too much for Travis, because he sent her home. He told her "he didn't want to say goodbye, but they were in different places in their lives and she's just starting on her adventures." I wonder if that's actually the real reason he sent her home. I think maybe it was the jealousy, or was it the fact that she still lived at home? We may never know.
