'The Bachelor' Season 15: Brad Womack, Who's Running the Show Here?

Love Means Never Having to Say You're Sorry

Victoria Leigh Miller
Here's a piece of advice for Brad Womack, the star of the latest season of ABC's "The Bachelor":

Stop apologizing.

Monday night's premiere of "The Bachelor" Season 15 featured Brad repeatedly saying how sorry he was, how he's a changed man, how he just wants a second chance to prove himself, blah blah blah.

Didn't anyone ever tell him that love means never having to say you're sorry? (Okay, I know- worst movie line ever!).

But come on- this guy's crime? He didn't pick either Jenni Croft or DeAnna Pappas during his last foray on this show. Yep, sounds like a serious offense to me.

Here's the thing: both Jenni and DeAnna have moved way on since Brad "dumped" both of them when he was "The Bachelor" back in 2007.

Jenni got married last fall (he's a dentist!) and DeAnna is engaged to the identical twin of one of the bachelors from Jillian Harris' season.

So if they've moved on, why can't Brad?

Really, Womack must have signed his life away for this edition of "The Bachelor."

He actually had to sit and rewatch his doomed final rose ceremony as part of this season's intro footage and his therapist even made a cameo on the premiere to vouch for him. Then he had to endure an obviously producer-driven slap from the first girl out of the limo.

Hasn't this guy already done his penance?

On the premiere, once the 30 bachelorettes got out of the limo and realized it was Womack they were vying for and not Chris Lambton, several of them pow wowed about how skeptical they are.

Even though he is "The Bachelor" and is supposed to call the shots, apparently this season the Bradster is going to have to earn their trust and prove he's worthy of their love. Isn't it usually the other way around?

I'd say one guy trying to prove his worthiness to 30 - okay, now it's down to 20- ladies is going to get old really fast. I really don't want to hear any more apologies from Brad about how he didn't fall in love last time.

Meanwhile, DeAnna had one heck of a nerve, saying she's skeptical about how Brad will do this time. Didn't she get engaged to Jesse Csincsak at the end of her run on "The Bachelorette," only to dump him months later? What's worse?

In the meantime let's hope Brad steps it up and shows these women who the man of the house is. Or should I say man of the mansion?

The next episode of "The Bachelor" will air on Monday, January 10th at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
