The Bachelorette 2010 Week 8 Full Recap, July 12 - Hometown Dates, Top 3 Revealed

This week, The Bachelorette 2010, Ali Fedotowsky, went on a series of hometown dates with her final four suitors. During The Bachelorette Week 8, Ali Fedotowsky visited Tampa to check out Roberto's hometown, headed to Cape Cod to see where Chris L. grew up, hit up Green Bay to visit both of Kirk's homes, and finally, was Chicago-bound to meet Frank's family.

Bachelorette 2010 Ali Fedotowsky: Homeward Bound For Week 8 Episode (July 12)

First up on the Bachelorette 2010 Week 8 hometown dates, a ballpark bull session with Roberto. Having grown up in Tampa, Roberto eventually went to college and played baseball there. Bachelorette Ali and Final Four hopeful Roberto both dressed the part - Ali in Roberto's old jersey and Roberto in a full baseball uniform (which Ali thought looked very sexy) - and played ball before heading to Roberto's casa for some family fun. Of course, everyone got along famously and Roberto left with his family's blessing.

Next, Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky met Chris L. on a Cape Cod beach. Chris L. earned brownie points for bringing his big, goofy black Lab, Jenny, and the three of them played on the sand as Chris prepped Ali on meeting his family. Once again, Bachelorette Ali and her suitor's family got on very well; joking and laughing together, as well as talking about love. Chris's dad and Ali had a very heartfelt chat, and Chris L. was also able to leave with his family's blessing.

The next hometown date featured on The Bachelorette 2010 Week 8 (July 12) episode was Ali and Kirk. Kirk, who grew up in Green Bay, WI, brought Ali home to both his mom and dad's houses respectively, as they divorced many years ago. Right off the bat, Bachelorette Ali had a freaky encounter with several dozen taxidermied animals in Kirk's dad's basement. She quickly recovered when she sat down to chat with him. The hometown date continued at Kirk's Mom's house, where Ali once again won everyone over. Both of Kirk's households were happy with the Bachelorette, and wished the couples well. Score: Ali - 3:3.

Frank's hometown visit would bring Ali's score to four-four. The Bachelorette 2010 Week 8 (July 12) episode carried on with yet another charming family meal, filled with lots of getting-to-know-you type of banter, with plenty of well-wishes and story-telling mixed in. Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky had no trouble winning over Frank's family as she did all the others. What's not to like? It's Ali!

Bachelorette Spoilers: Week 8 Rose Ceremony And Trouble In Tahiti

The Bachelorette Week 8 rose ceremony was a tough one for Ali, but she got through it. After a few tears and almost two hours of my life hometown dates, Bachelorette Ali handed out roses to the Top 3: Roberto, Chris L. and Frank. Kirk, sadly, would be headed home. On his exit, Kirk seemed blind-sided, saying, "I really, really, really didn't see this coming. I've never really had my heart broken before."

Next week on The Bachelorette, Ali Fedotowsky and The Bachelorette 2010 Top 3 are headed to Tahiti. Unfortunately, fun in the sun ends in tears for Bachelorette Ali. Bachelorette Spoiler Potential: Frank makes her cry. We don't know exactly why yet, but there are still rumors circulating that Frank could have a girlfriend. So far, he's been very unsure in his relationship with Ali, and it might have less to do with the actual competition than Ali thinks.
