Two weeks ago fans watched The Bachelorette's Ali Fedotowsky and her fiancé Roberto Martinez become engaged, but now the lovebirds are settling in to private, off-camera life in San Diego.

According to Radar Online, Fedotowsky and Martinez are deliriously happy in their new apartment despite the fact they have no furniture.

"We actually prefer sleeping on the floor," Ali said. She continued, "Just give us a blanket and a bottle of red wine."

Getting back to normal

Ali is actively seeking employment and was scheduled for two job interviews in San Diego on Tuesday.

In a press call with USA Today.com, Ali said that she and Roberto want to keep things simple and do not want the "crazy lavishness" they experienced on The Bachelorette, claiming that they are "just a normal couple."

Roberto added that he was eager early on to do "the simple things" with Ali.

Their practical side

Though they want to keep things normal and simple, Ali and Roberto have talked about getting married on television.

Roberto's practical side came out when he said, "The money we can save on that we could use to invest in our lives."

Ali agreed that it was a good idea since there could be over 700 people at the wedding from the groom's side alone.

The media opportunities

The media is certainly interested in what Fedotowsky and Martinez are doing next.

With a record viewing audience of this season's Bachelorette, there is a lot of interest in this couple who are likened to the first Bachelorette couple Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter who married in a TV wedding seven years ago, with 17 million viewers in attendance from their living rooms.

Ali and Roberto are grateful for the opportunities that being in the spotlight has afforded them, such as giving back to the world through charity work.

Though the world has not heard the last of Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez, this couple is happy to begin their private lives together, simply holding hands in San Diego and doing what normal couples do.
