The Bachelorette Bentley Aiming for Biggest Villain Ever

Chris Houston
Is The Bachelorette producing the largest villain in the history of the show? Despite hearing rumors that Bentley was attached, Ashley still decided to keep him around in the initial rose ceremony. Ashley went one step further by handing out another rose and begging Bentley to stay on the second night of eliminations on The Bachelorette.
But it gets more sickening than that. In a plot more evil than a horror flick, Bentley continues to say horribly rude things about Ashley behind her back in the on camera interviews.

In just two episodes, Bentley has already provided enough bulletin board material to make him one of the most hated characters in Bachelor/Bachelorette history. His rude comments concerning Ashley have been almost so mean that it makes fans believe he is a hired actor. He has already said he is not attracted to Ashley and that she just doesn't do it for him. But he keeps adding rude comments during his on camera interviews that might make even the cruelest "players" cringe. He's said he would be interested if the Bachelorette was Emily and not Ashley. He's said he thinks Ashley has a cute body but not the "checklist" that he wants in a future wife. He's even suggested he would use Ashley for sex but would never keep her around. All these comments, and these aren't the only ones, make Bentley one of the most hated Bachelor/Bachelorette participants in the shows history. He's either a complete insensitive idiot or the guy is getting paid to play the bad boy. Something just doesn't seem right with the way his character is panning out on the show.

Bentley says he is just competitive and wants to win the game. But he seemingly has no concern for the feelings of Ashley. The ironic thing is that Bentley, who is a father of a young girl named Cozy, is going to have to one day explain why he is so rude on the show and treating a lady so badly. Bentley is giving new meaning to the term "bad boy" and I don't think America is going to respond in favor of his antics. In short, he's just being a punk. I think the term "jerk" is going way to easy on the guy. Wes was a major league jerk, too. But he didn't say the types of harsh things Bentley has so far. It makes you wonder if the guy is intentionally trying to be a jerk just for the giggles he'll get from his beer drinking buddies at home. Can anyone be that cruel in real life or is he trying to accomplish something?

Hopefully the guy will be going home very soon on The Bachelorette-although those types of characters seem to have an internal magnet that keeps them around mysteriously on the ABC reality television show. Ashley is going to be quite upset when she does get the opportunity to watch the show back. Her jaw probably has already dropped with the first two episodes airing. It might be the first time she has actually seen what Bentley said.

If he is accomplishing anything, The Bachelorettes' Bentley is making Wes look like a lot less evil. He is probably elevating his status as the most hated participant on the show into the stratosphere with the first two episodes. If he continues on this pace, he will become the most hated guy ever. I am sure women everywhere are wondering how this guy could pull off being such a "jerk" without blinking. It definitely makes you wonder if he is acting or trying to pull off a stunt on national television just for the sake of laughing. I'm sure 1 percent of the people watching the show think that it's funny. But the other 99 percent aren't laughing! They're just completely convinced that Bentley is a major league punk.
