"The Bachelorette" Predictions and Picks

Chris Houston

"The Bachelorette" predictions and picks are as tough as ever to make. How can you really tell which direction Ashley Hebert is heading-especially when her top choice Bentley Williams walked away earlier in the competition?

The final four participants will get to bring Ashley to their respective home towns in the next episode. Who is left on "The Bachelorette?" There's 31 year old Ames-who was probably a bit of a shocker to stick around considering how he seems to have little chemistry with Ashley.

Ben F, a 28 year old winemaker from Sonoma, is also among the mix. Ben F. was one of my top predictions early on in the competition and it seems he has a head full of steam heading into the finale. But is he too young for Ashley at just 28? I'm not completely convinced that Ashley believes Ben is ready for that big step-and I have a gut feeling we might see as much in the coming episodes.

J.P., the now jealous 34 year old construction worker, has to be the odds on favorite if he can control his emotions down the stretch. J.P. is also one of the fan favorites to win the whole thing.

Also left is Constantine-a 30 year old restaurant owner from Atlanta. Constantine is an interesting guy because he doesn't seem overly anxious to commit to Ashley yet--a cardinal sin in "The Bachelorette" rules. That could be his biggest hurdle if he wants to move forward instead of getting sent home.

Then there is Ames. Ames seems like a great guy but I have often wondered why Ashley has kept him around when there seems to be little chemistry. Maybe there is and we just haven't seen it with the show being edited. But I just don't get how he made the Final Four and I am hard pressed to believe he will go much further-but he has surprised me and many others with his long stay.

So who could and will win "The Bachelorette?" If I have to make predictions, my best guess is that J.P. is a safe bet to take home Ashley after the final rose ceremony. If he weren't getting jealous, I would even go so far to say it's a done deal. Unfortunately J.P. has been growing extremely emotional in the past few episodes and that certainly could scare Ashley into a different direction. It's completely understandable that any guy would get jealous watching the girl he likes kiss other guys. It's only natural. For some reason on "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette", it's not accepted that way typically. Perhaps Ashley will comfort J.P. and ease his mind in the coming home town date. Maybe she won't. It's hard to tell if Ashley adores the jealousy and extra attention or if it makes her a bit uneasy. Either way, my "The Bachelorette" predictions still have J.P. as the guy at the end-unless he walks away because of his not held in check emotions.

So who is my alternative pick? I really believe Ben F. will be the other guy standing with Ashley in the final two. Ben F. might just be the darkhorse pick of the competition and could steal her away in the next few weeks. I can't imagine he can upstage J.P. unless J.P. just starts to unravel.

I could be absolutely wrong but I don't think Ames has the connection to Ashley and my predictions say he'll probably be the next guy to leave the house. Constantine just doesn't seem to be overly infatuated with Ashley quite yet and that could potentially get him booted off in the near future.

So what happens on "The Bachelorette?" My guess is Ames goes home after the home town dates because she just isn't feeling it. Constantine then exits because of his own feelings or because Ashley just wants a stronger connection. That leaves J.P. and Ben F. I give the edge to J.P. for several reasons. J.P. is a bit older and more experienced. My guess is Ashley feels a bit safer with an older guy-J.P. is 34 compared to the 28 of Ben F. J.P. also seems to be the only guy this season to be head over heels for Ashley. Chalk it up to ego but I think Ashley adores the way he looks at her and gets nervous around her. She digs the attention. She isn't getting that from any of the other 3 guys and sometimes girls love to be put on that pedestal. J.P. is certainly doing that and I think that's the reason he'll get the final rose. The two do have a nice chemistry on screen together so far--but who knows what would happen in real life? It could be another Bachelor couple that grows apart-but I definitely don't think that would be J.P.'s doing--he seems genuine, sincere and completely willing to make the relationship work-permitting there are no other guys kissing Ashley after he gets that final rose!

That's it for my "The Bachelorette" predictions and picks. We'll see how things unfold as the four remaining Bachelor guys take Ashley home to meet the folks on Monday.
