When we arrived at the restaurant on a Friday night we noticed they only had one waitress working. I was a bit skeptical when seeing this and thought we might not get great service. But to our amazement this lady was a pro. She quickly handled our requests along with all the other patrons, in a timely manner.
I looked over the menu and saw where they had an array of choices from burgers, fish, steaks, sandwiches hot or cold and barbecue as well as salads. My husband ordered one of his favorites, the fried hamburger steak with smothered onions and mushrooms in it's own gravy. I ordered the barbecue plate that came with fries.
Our food was delivered quickly and it was hot. My eyes were stuck on how large my plate of barbecue was. I knew immediately we were getting a to go box. I tasted the barbecue expecting to find it compared to nothing I have eaten in the South. But to my amazement it was spectacular.
They bring you a pitcher of ice water to your table as quickly as you sit down and then take your drink orders. I watched in amazement of how our one waitress was able to wait on so many tables by herself and still maintain her customer service.
There is lots of seating at this restaurant and an area for those of you whom might need to have a large area for a bigger party. It is a very clean establishment and this was a plus to my family. One thing you'll find is that there are many locals that visit this establishment daily.
Their prices are fair compared to any of the other restaurants in the area. My husband had fries with his meal as well as a salad and bread. I had the sandwich with fries and bread. We both ordered cokes and our total bill was 23.00 dollars.
We left full and satisfied as well as lunch for the next day in hand in our to go box. The waitress apologized that she was so busy and we expressed to her no need in apologizing when the service was great!
