What are Chakras?
The word Chakra (pronounced shock-ruh) is Sanskrit for wheel. When the Chakras are healthy, each one is a spinning energy vortex. There are seven major Chakras, from the top of your head to the base of your spine.
What do Chakras do?
Chakras control all the body's organs and systems. When they're out of balance, their associated organs and systems don't work as well as they should. If this goes on for a long time, we get sick, depressed, etc. Many people believe all sickness, negativity, and disease is because of an energy imbalance somewhere in the body. These imbalances can be prevented by learning to balance the Chakras.
Why are Chakras important?
As stated above, Chakras are important because, simply put, they keep us well. Balanced Chakras mean we're physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually healthy. That's why it's important to learn the simple techniques of Chakra balancing.
How can I care for them without getting confused?
It's not hard to balance the Chakras. Although there are many different Chakra balancing exercises, you can learn to balance your own Chakras and those of others in a very short time. Below is the information you need to do this.
Each Chakra resonates with a different color. As a result, many people use crystals or stones of each Chakra's color to balance them. However, you can balance the Chakras yourself by simply visualizing the color required to balance each Chakra individually. This, along with your intent to balance them, is enough to balance the Chakras. Visualize each color for 3-5 minutes, and picture the wheel that is each Chakra balancing itself and spinning in a clockwise direction.
We start with the seventh Chakra, the crown Chakra. It's at the top of your head. While lying on your back, relaxed, bring your focus to the top of your head. As you do this, visualize the color white or violet. See it as vividly as you can. On a physical level, this Chakra controls your brain and Pineal gland. On a spiritual level, it helps you feel connected to the divine and everything in the universe.
Next, the sixth Chakra is located in the middle of your forehead. This is called the third eye. To balance this Chakra, visualize the color indigo. Physically, the third eye governs your Pituitary gland, eyes, nose, and ears. Spiritually, when the third eye is balanced, you can receive intuitive information, wisdom, and not fear death. Balancing the third eye also reduces stress and calms the mind.
The fifth Chakra is located at your throat. The throat Chakra's color is blue. When this Chakra is balanced, you can communicate well with others, speak the truth, and listen to the truths of others. It also controls the Thyroid and parathyroid.
The fourth Chakra is the heart Chakra, and its color is green. You can also use pink to work on this Chakra. Balancing this one is important, because it not only controls the heart, lungs, blood pressure, and breathing, but also unconditional love and compassion for yourself and others.
The third Chakra is the solar plexus, which is your upper abdomen, just below your rib cage. The color to visualize here is yellow, as bright and cheerful as you can make it. On the physical level, the solar plexus controls the Autonomic nervous system, liver, and pancreas. Emotionally, a balanced solar plexus means you have respect for yourself and others, strong nerves, and flexibility. If this Chakra is imbalanced, you may experience depression and other emotional disorders.
The sacral Chakra is the second Chakra. Its balancing color is orange, so don't be afraid to visualize the orangest thing you can imagine. The sacral Chakra keeps the kidneys, adrenals, and flow of bodily fluids
working properly. When this one is balanced, you experience creativity, sexual satisfaction, concern for others, and prosperity.
Finally, the first Chakra is the root Chakra. The color is red, and it governs the functioning of the Coccyx and Gonads. It also keeps you centered, grounded, able to trust, determined, secure, and patient.
Balancing the Chakras is not a hard skill to learn. In fact, the hardest part is visualizing the color and spinning wheel vividly. But remember that your intention to balance them is enough, too. Also, if you learn Reiki, you can use it to balance the Chakras. But no matter what tool you use--whether it's color, Reiki, or something else--know how important it is to balance all seven Chakras on a regular basis. They keep us healthy--physically and emotionally, and keep us connected on mental and spiritual levels as well.
