I took a short drive with my daughters and grandmother to Old Town Tomball. Old Town Tomball is the historic part of Tomball, Texas, just north west of Houston. Now, I had been to Old Town Spring on the other side of the highway, but I never knew Old Town Tomball existed. I was in for a very pleasant treat. We had lunch at the Whistle Stop cafe', which was fabulous, and then decided to visit a few of the shops.

In our perusing, my daughter- who loves all things Hawaiian and beach oriented, saw the fun little tiki-styled sign for the Bath Hut. Always a sucker for bath stuff, we decided to check it out.

We walked down the wooden planked sidewalk to the bright Caribbean Orange building that was the home of the Bath Hut. Right outside was a sign for free samples and a bunch of empty lotion bottles. We stepped inside and between the ambiance and the wonderful fragrances, I was in heaven.

The brightly decorated beachy theme was fun and playful, the aromas divine, and the owner could not have been nicer. She asked if we had ever been there before. We told her we had not and she ran down everything they had, what they offered, and how we were to put together our free samples.

They had over 200 fragrance oils that you could use to make your own specialized lotions and scrubs. They also had bath fizzies, soaps, and body washes. We began smelling all of the wonderful fragrances so we could make our own lotion. I didn't get to smell them all, but I was hard pressed to decide on just one.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the owner only sighed just a little when my littlest one accidentally spilled some of the Watermelon scented oil. (Again, I am really sorry!)

So, my grandmother, my daughter, and I chose our individual scents and proceeded to the counter for them to make our lotion. We gave them our scent bottle, chose our lotion color, and which kind of lotion we wanted. We all had the Milk and Honey lotion, but all chose a different scent and color.

My choice was the Hawaiian Holiday in yellow. I've never been to Hawaii, but i imagine that is exactly what it would smell like. Strong gardenia and another flower I couldn't place, with a hint of the beach and coconut. A vacation in a bottle.

My grandmother chose the Lavender Vanilla in purple, of course. It too, was fabulous with lavender and a hint of warm vanilla. Grandma likes it a lot!

My daughter chose Coconut in blue. The fragrances are long lasting and the lotions are the perfect consistency because they are not runny and not too thick. And when my daughter wears hers, I really get a craving for the beach.

I will definitely be back to spend an obscene amount of money in the near future. And for birthdays and Christmas too. I have found the perfect go-to place for all my girl friends and relatives. We left feeling a little giddy with our new lotions and my littlest one smelling pleasantly of watermelon. (really, really, sorry!)

Check out their website too, they will even host a party for you. Go check it out, you will be in a tropical heaven too. www.thebathhut.net
