The Battle Between Conan O'brien and Jay Leno

As Conan O'brien and Jay Leno Continue to Duke it Out

Kurt Evans
If you live in America and don't live in a cave, then you obviously know about the rivalry that has been going on between Jay Leno and Conan O'brien at NBC. Jay Leno said that Conan O'brien would take over the Tonight Show, which he did.

Jay Leno and Conan O'brien

Now, because of conflicts with the affiliates of Jay Leno's new show not working out, he wants his old show back. To me, there seems like there should be some legalities in the contracts that would keep Conan O'brien as the host of the Tonight Show.

NBC

I think it's kind of strange how NBC would cater to the wants of Jay Leno.

The Tonight Show

I think that if The Tonight Show had good ratings with Conan O'brien as the host, that they should keep him as the host.

My Opinion

To be honest, all of this is making NBC look bad. The sooner they resolve this, the better, in my opinion. I think that Jay Leno has lost the passion that he once had for his show.

I liked it when Conan O'brien took over the tonight show. I think Conan O'brien can make the Tonight show last many years.

Hypocrite

All of this makes Jay Leno look like a hypocrite and if he gets his way with NBC, it just sends out a message to stars in Hollywood and around the world, that the bigger star you are, then the more likely you are to get your way; if you yell and scream loud enough. This could have devastating affects on the industry by producing stars that are more demanding and difficult to work with.

Bad Precedent

Somebody needs to tell NBC that this is setting a bad precedent. They should try to resolve this quickly.

Yeah, the rivalry certainly doesn't make them look good, anyway!
