The Battle Between Obama and Clinton - A Middle School Girl's Perspective

bizkid
As middle schooler, I still have a strong voice. I think Senator Barack Obama should win the presidential election over Senator Hillary Clinton because its time for an honorable black or African American president. Some African Americans believe its not time for a black president, but not saying we are not ready for a woman president. This is either a sign of self hatred from generation to generation, or African American women want a woman to make choices for our country. This year we're now starting to put race and gender on the stands together at the same time.

Senator Hillary Clinton has been first lady for eight years and may be still holding to the old ideas from the past. Senator Barack Obama on the other hand comes from a different generation and has new, fresh ideas that I think Americans needs through 2009-2012. Change is good and change is Obama.

Obama is a compassionate person, and with that compassion he makes people that think they don't have a voice be heard. He does that by listening to the people. He listens to communities. He seems to be a man of his word and others seem to agree that he cares for all people and want the best for communities and families. Senator Obama would not have made it this far in the presidential campaign without caring people, communities, and his family.
