The Battle of Insecurities

Donna Cavanagh
Insecurity is a human condition
It is a flaw we all share
We doubt our talents, our looks, our intelligence
We look in the mirror and wonder why anyone would care

We need to put our insecurities in perspective
Take control; push them aside
If we give them permission to breathe on their own
Anger and resentment in our hearts will reside

Our insecurities hurt not only ourselves
But those who surround us day by day
To make us feel better about our own lives
We tear down innocent bystanders we think get in our way

Do not fall into the insecurities trap
Do not let them become the essence of who you are
Insecurities will always play a role in our lives
But we decide if they become a bit player or the star

I so appreciate the words So, if anyone wants to see the books, Poems for a Positive Day and Poems for a Positive Day II are on Amazon.com or MyVeryOwnFan.com. Thanks for asking. I didn't know how to get the word out.

We are much of what we think. This can be bad or this can be good, but if we realize we're a child of the living God, what's to be insecure about!? Nicely done. :-)

There is medicine you can take for this, even though it's hard to swallow. It's really good medicine, the best. All you do is take it (at least) once a day and drink in lots of scripture. Works every time. Cheers.
