As a male I have heard all of the stories about how men only want one thing and they do not care about the content of character within a woman, they only care about what is under that clothing. While I am not willing to say that I do not care what is under that clothing, it is certainly not the only thing I think about when it comes to women.
Hearing guys talk about women can be rather funny sometimes, we as men talk differently about you women when you aren't around and for whatever reason, it usually has to do with the female anatomy and what you look like. Does that make us all pigs? Maybe, but then again, I know that women do the same thing when the guys aren't around. So is it possible that both men and women are pigs when the other sex isn't around? Could be...
As a male I tend to be a very picky so since women are known to be picky people, I often wonder if maybe I am a female. I'm pretty sure I'm not but since the stereotype is there and women are all picky, it makes one wonder sometimes. Obviously this stereotype is just that, nothing more than a rumor that someone made up when he wasn't chosen to be that woman's date for the evening. Both men and women are picky to an extent otherwise we would all be dating each other without any care of looks or content of character. Since we are talking about character, supposedly men have no care about such things and possibly that is why the divorce rate is so high. Maybe if people cared more about the content of character as much as they care about the content of the clothing, we would not get stuck with a person who is Satan's brother or sister. We see this a lot with movie stars who marry someone because of looks and fame and then once the novelty wears off and they find out that even famous and rich people can be horrible, they get a divorce.
While we all have preferences, we all need to stop fighting about who does this and who is worse or better. We are all human beings and for those wanting to meet someone of the opposite sex for a relationship, it is important to look for everything. Looks do matter and so does character. You need to look for what makes you happy and you can't have one without the other in my opinion.
Marrying that "beef cake" or "super model" may sound wonderful, but if they have no character you are just going to be miserable and most likely you will end up single again. Be yourself, be honest and don't worry about stereotypes because that is all they are. There are good and bad in every living thing and if we get past the bad apples, we will find what we are looking for.
Just never give up!
