The Beaches of Sanibel, Florida

People come from all over the world to enjoy the famous beaches of Sanibel, Florida. It is a wonderful retreat away from all the daily stress of normal life. The sand of the beaches of Sanibel Island is nice and smooth. It is a place where people want to live forever, and most people do not want their vacation to ever end. There are a couple beaches to really enjoy on Sanibel.

If you love to collect sea-shells than this the perfect beach for you to visit. I have personally brought home from my vacation buckets full of shells. For example, there are cockle and conch shells. I have traveled all over the world, and Bowman's Beach has the most amazing sea-shells that I have ever seen.

The beach is nice and soft. The sand is white. There are hardly any rocks. The water is just so beautiful. The waves aren't that high which is nice because the undertow is not that strong so you will not have to be constantly fighting it. Just be careful when you are in the water. Once you are about three feet out in the water there is a big startling drop which can surprise you.

Bowman's Beach has parking, but not a ton of it. So make sure you get there early for a good spot. You have to pay for parking by the hour so make sure to bring money for that. There are bathrooms, and a place to change your clothes. Bring a picnic lunch, and enjoy a day at the beach. Overall, Bowman's Beach is just a very nice peaceful beach to visit.

There are various Sanibel Causeway Beaches that you can visit. The best part of these beaches is that you can actually drive up in your car right up to the edge of the water. Although pretty in their own right, they are not as peaceful as the other beaches mentioned. Most of the beaches are right off of the highway, and so it is a bit noisy with the cars driving by I have found. They are easier to get to though, and that is a nice perk.
