The cheapest beads, ordinary ones starts from five to ten cents and goes up if they got bigger and fancier. They are not jewelry, not an item that you put on everyday. But when it comes to Festivals like Mardi Gras or Fantasy Festival, the beads becomes so valuable. You can't have enough of them and probably millions of beads change hands during those crazy and fun times.
Floats will throw beads and you are allowed do what you will to attract some, even flash your boobs. The packed streets are trying to catch as many beads as possible. The five-cent beads are like gold here. Most of the people on the streets probably own million dollars worth of houses, boats but they still love to be able to have loads of beads on their neck. They still fight with people standing next to them so that they can catch some more beads.
I am watching the crowd around me. Streets are packed jam full. Everybody is wearing lots of beads. Men carry lots of beads because they want to please the woman who flashes to them, otherwise they won't flash. In those festivals the more beads women got the richer they feel. So they are ready to flash any second.
Mardi Gras style parades are only complete with, sexy costumes, body paint, bizarre floats loaded with revelers tossing beads to those they please.
The streets on those festivals are always absolutely, totally, 100% packed. Don't plan on meeting your friend on the other end of the street. Not a chance. Here is a good tip: find a good bar, preferably with a good steady stream of drinks, and enjoy the madness. Stays put and catch loads of beads!
There's something in the air on these festivals, or maybe in the drinks, that can turn otherwise conservative people into exhibitionists that parade around in see through or with just a tiny splash of paint on their breasts, some even electing to "hide" behind a few strands of beads.
It might sound crazy but it is always plenty of fun. They are just festivals with a lot of beads and a lot of partying going on. Body painted women is a norm and beads for flashers is also in vogue.
You won't want to miss pictures of the madness, body painted woman and flashing woman. So remember to pack a digital camera or buy lots of film. If you are a woman and if you attend those festivals with your husband and your boy friend, remember to leave "jealousy" at home and just assume that it is a norm that men takes pictures of half-naked body painted woman or it is another norm that they pose to you so that they are in the picture with those woman. So, don't be jealous and go along with what is happening there. Remember, your husband might want to carry lots of beads just in case a woman flashes on the street. That is also normal.
If you are men and you are with your girl friend or with your wife, don't get offended she gets out of the hand and wants to flash as well. Remember you are there just for and fun and have fun!
