The Beatles LOVE-Cirque Du Soleil Review

Nicole Lang
Despite being thirty years old and not growing up with the Beatles, I - like most of my friends - can appreciate good music. Being as such I have become a fan of the Beatles. It seemed like a no-brainer when my friend and I decided to go to Las Vegas and wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil that our first choice was "The Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil" that was being shown at the Mirage.

Tickets were not cheap so we opted for the middle priced at $140 per person. The tickets were still expensive, but slightly less than the $170 for the expensive tickets. There are two different shows most nights. The first at 7pm and the second at 9:30pm. We opted for the later show so that we could grab dinner first.

Interestingly enough there was even a Beatles Lounge called "Revolution" to get into the spirit. Upon entering the theater there was a movie theater like appearance right down to the candy and popcorn and the costumes the workers wore. The minute we took our seats we realized that our $140 seats were the best seats in the house. The patrons on the bottom would have to strain to see all of the high-flying trapeze artists and the patrons in the top tier would have to struggle to see what was happening on the stage.

The moment the show started it was evident that it was well worth the $140 price tag. Immediately the costumes stood out along with the wonderfully choreographed show. From high-flying trapeze artists to dancers. From Sgt. Pepper to All You Need is Love, from Help! to Lucy in the Sky the music was remarkable as was the attire and how the entire show was pulled together to make it look so easy was beyond belief.

Perhaps the only negative is the fact that there is so much going on that it is impossible to see everything. It is the type of show that can be seen over and over and every time will feel like the first.

Many of my friends who have seen any Cirque du Soleil have informed me that it was the show of all shows. I wholeheartedly agree. If you like the Beatles, plan on being in Las Vegas in the near future and would like to be entertained then do yourself a favor and pay the $140 to see "The Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil".
