10. The Beatles/ Let it Be / Let it Be 1970
It just made so much sense even when nothing else seemed to make sense. When you hear the Beatles sing the words " there will be an answer, let it be " , it is very easy to believe everything will be alright. Paul McCartney sings like an angel on this lovely, tender song.
9. The Beatles/ Drive My Car/ Rubber Soul 1965
It seems nearly impossible that anyone could hear a song with the words " beep beep beep beep yeah " and not love it. This song would bring on an ear to ear smile when caught on the radio while driving down the road. It can not be beat for a great tune to cruise to.
8. The Beatles/ Back in the U.S.S.R / The Beatles or " The White Album " 1968
The chorus on this song is wild enough to make the young girls scream. When you are ready to kick up your heels and dance your bottom off, this is the song to take you there. When The Beatles sang " come and keep your comrade warm ", that is exactly what most girls wanted to do.
7. The Beatles/ Here, There, and Everywhere / Revolver 1966
I loved the way Paul McCartney sang this song. You could actually hear how much he put his heart into it. This simple and romantic song was as perfect a love song as anyone has ever written. When Paul sang " changing my life with a wave of her hand.." , you could only hope someone loved you that much. Try pulling this tune out the next time you are looking for a goodnight kiss.
6. The Beatles/ Here Comes The Sun / Abbey Road 1969
George was always my favorite Beatle. I had a huge crush on him even when I was a very little girl. His voice was unique and his songs always seemed to stand out on each album. This tune seems to me to be the perfect song for any beautiful day. When George sang " it's alright ", he was right on.
5. The Beatles/ While My Guitar Gently Weeps/ The Beatles or " The White Album " 1968
George Harrison takes my number five spot with this incredible cosmic song. It has a smoky slow feel to it that seems to perfectly set the mood for a hippie frame of mind. When George sang " I look at you all, still my guitar gently weeps,," it seemed you could almost hear it.
4. The Beatles/ You Won't See Me / Rubber Soul 1965
While many of my favorite Beatle tunes are slow and hippie feeling, my very top favorites are the simple and happy tunes. This particular song is just that. This song is so catchy that any time I hear it, I have no choice but to sing along as if no one could hear me. If you haven't heard this song in awhile, get it out now!
3. The Beatles/ Twist and Shout/ Please Please Me 1963
For me, this Beatles tune was old dependable. I am the youngest of six children. This song was one that no matter where we were, if it came on, I could count on my brothers and sisters to dance with me. It was also a perfect song to do the worm to. If you decide to dive into your albums and get this one out, be ready to rock and roll right along with it.
2. The Beatles/ All My Loving / With the Beatles 1963
The very first words to this song were enough to capture the attention of any young girl. As soon as they sang " close your eyes and I'll kiss you,," they sure had my attention. This song captures the feel of happiness and silly love that the Beatles were so good at bringing to life in their songs. This song had no problem in finding the number two spot in my favorites.
1. The Beatles/ I Saw Her Standing There/ Please Please Me 1963
It is very easy for me to explain why this song takes the number one spot in my list of favorite Beatles songs. This song makes me feel fantastic. I can not imagine not singing and dancing along every time I hear it. This song came out over forty five years ago and it holds up today as well as it did the day it came out. I will admit that I always secretly wished that they wrote this song about me. One can dream!
I hope you enjoyed thinking about all of these great songs. I also sincerely hope that reading about them will inspire you to dive into your old album collection and pull out your favorites for a long overdue listen. It is hard to beat an evening spent listening to the Beatles. They managed to leave behind such a wide variety in musical styles that there is something for everyone in their albums. Peace!

Awesome picks (and thank you for not including "Yellow Submarine" Ecch!)
"All my Loving" great song. Some of my favorites; Day in the life, Michelle, and the to me spooky Eleanor Rigby. Great article
I always liked "Hey Jude". All of your favorites bring back memories from times past. Great article.
Awesome job.
Happy Easter!
Quite agree about "Here Comes the Sun." Great song. (I like Penny Lane too - but I drove by there a few years ago and it's a short, very, very boring road in Liverpool!)
Thanks for the memories! Now to decide which song to let take over in my head today...
