Colorado Sunsets with a Backdrop of the Rocky Mountains
First of all, since we live in Colorado, we have enjoyed many sunsets along the Front Range in northern Colorado. There is something awe inspiring when you watch the sun sink behind the peaks of the Rocky Mountains. After it sets, the sky is still lit up by the brilliance of the sun's rays. As dusk approaches, the outline of the mountains against the darkening blue sky is truly a magnificent sight.
Illinois Sunsets on the Prairie
We also witnessed sunsets in the flatlands of Illinois. It was different watching a sunset without a mountain backdrop, but being able to see the sun sink all the way below the horizon was simply beautiful. The sun often looked like a huge red ball as it disappeared in the western sky.
Florida Sunsets with a Sizzle
Our third sunset watching experience was on the Gulf Coast of Florida. These were some of the most spectacular sunsets we have ever witnessed. Listening to the waves as they lapped on shore while watching the sunset was a very relaxing experience. The water sparkled brilliantly as the sun changed from gold, to orange and finally to red. Then the sun appeared to sink right into the waters of the Gulf. You could almost hear it sizzle as it hit the water. Those sunsets were definitely breathtaking!
The next time you look outside in the evening and see orange or pink clouds, take a few moments and enjoy the scene. It just might make the end of your day more pleasant and will definitely provide some nourishment for your heart and soul.

they sound great
Nice images, teammate! My living room window faces west, and I truly enjoy sunset time!
You have written a keeper here! Sunsets are incredible, aren't they? When I studied under a mentor of super-consciousness, one of my assignments was to write about - "What if this were my last sunset?" Makes one think about fragility of life.
I love sunsets! Nice article, thanks for sharing.
Sunsets are indeed a beautiful gift from God!
Have you ever seen the "green flash" of the perfect Pacific Ocean sunset at the perfect moment? It is kinda hard to catch as it is truly a 'blink of a flashing moment' and then it's gone....I'm striving to catch it one day... Try my best at every opportunity!
