The Beaver

Carmella Mae Dunkin
On the pond the little beaver swims,

piddle, paddle, goes his wee little feet and tail,

oh my look at him sail,

under and over, and over and under,

the little beaver swims with such great wonder.

Wee little beaver, so loves his pond,

he takes his new bride and creates his home,

a huge mound of dirt, some twigs and some leaves,

and look at his new home, tucked safely on his pond

and now covered in the fresh winter's snow.

Wonderful poem Carmella. I can picture the events as they happen through your poem. Keep writing!
