The Bed and Breakfast Inns of Idaho

Ann
I am a big fan of the bed and breakfast. The atmosphere is completely different than that of a hotel and you just can't beat the charm they offer their guests. Here are some of the bed and breakfast choices for the state of Idaho.

Located in Coeur d'Alene is the American Country Bed and Breakfast. This B&B is geared toward couples and provides an element of romance in every one of the three guestrooms. Each also has a private bath and a whirlpool tub for two is available. Enjoy the beautiful views as you eat breakfast in one of their two dining rooms. For the RV couples, parking spaces for these homes on wheels are available. Rates vary. For more information, call them at 1-877-664-9650. Visit them online at www.americancountrybedandbreakfast.com.

Rigby is home to the Blue Heron Inn. This inn is 5,100 square feet and offers six guestrooms with private baths. Private balconies, jetted tubs, and fireplaces are available in some rooms, just ask. They are happy to host weddings, business trips, and family gatherings. Some of the amenities include a library, game area, and fitness center. White water rafting and fly fishing are just a few of the available activities. If you would like more information, this bed and breakfast can be reached at 1-866-745-9922. They are online at www.idahoblueheron.com.

The Greyhouse Inn Bed and Breakfast is located in Salmon. There are four beautiful guestrooms as well four cabins and one cottage. Only two rooms share a bath. The rest are private. Activities include white water rafting, hiking, fishing and hunting. This bed and breakfast is child friendly and willing to accommodate weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. Swan Valley is where you will find the Hansen Guest Ranch. Accommodations include a renovated barn with three downstairs suites, each with a private bath, and three different cottages, each with two bedrooms. Onsite activities include horseshoes, tennis, and croquet. This B&B would be perfect for a horseback excursion, party, or reunion. If you would like more information, call 1-800-277-9041. They are online at www.hansenguestranch.com.

The Bunk House Bed and Breakfast is located in Winchester. This B&B is all about nature. Horses are welcome and they offer a barn and hay for overnight stays. Single and double occupancy is available and tents are allowed for large groups. Activities include paddle boats, fishing, horseshoes, and board games. Area attractions include the Wolf Education Center, Tractor Museum, Lewiston, the Train on Stilts, and various fairs and local celebrations. If you would like more information, please call them at 1-208-924-5960. No website is available.

Rates and accommodations vary. Call ahead if you have any special requests or questions, such as children or pets. If you smoke, find out what that policy is as well. No matter what your need, a bed and breakfast is sure to be a wonderful experience.
