The restaurant is surrounded by a parking lot, so there is parking on both sides of the building. We visited the restaurant three times during our visit to Branson, because we enjoyed the atmosphere and the breakfasts. We experienced a short wait only once, but I can imagine that there could be a longer wait during the prime tourist season, during the summer months.
The interior was a little worn, but fit with the homey country atmosphere of Branson. There were wooden tables in the middle area and booths along the sides of the room.
The server greeted us promptly and asked for our beverage order. We ordered coffee and she brought us a plastic carafe of coffee and cups.
The Belgian Waffle and Pancake House specializes in breakfast and lunch. As the name implies, the specialty of the house is the Belgian Waffle, made from a family recipe.
Since the waffle was the specialty of the house, that is what I ordered. The Belgian Waffle served at the restaurant is light and always served room temperature, which helps make it crisp. The waffle is served along with melted butter and syrup. The pecan waffle had small pieces of pecans. On another visit, I tried eggs and bacon with hash browns. The scrambled eggs were cooked to order and the bacon was good, but the hash browns.
My companion thought the biscuits and eggs were delicious. We did not try the omelets, but they looked excellent.
The service was prompt and efficient. The servers appeared to work as a team in the bustling kitchen galley, which we could see from our booth.
The prices averaged between $5-$10 per meal. They offered a selection of meals for seniors (55+) for about $4.99.
There have been reports that area show people occasionally stop by the pass out fliers promoting their show. Some people found that entertaining, while others found the interruption annoying. There were no such visitors when I was there, so cannot comment.
The Belgian Waffle and Pancake House is a family restaurant that does just what it says it is going to do, serve breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is a no-frills restaurant with a comfortable, casual atmosphere. The menu and atmosphere are family friendly.
The Belgian Waffle and Pancake House is located at 3120 W. Hwy. 75 in Branson, Missouri.
